COULTER: I will campaign for her (Hillary) if it's McCain. (Transcript)

HANNITY: And Senator John McCain is gaining momentum, but not all conservatives are jumping for joy. Senator McCain is a polarizing candidate for many. And critics point to his stance on immigration, his work with Russ Feingold. But with a potential Hillary Clinton candidacy on the Democratic side of the aisle, will true conservatives eventually fall in line and support the Arizona senator?

Joining us now, author of the "New York Times" best seller, "If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd be Republicans," our friend Ann Coulter. How are you?

ANN COULTER, AUTHOR, "IF DEMOCRATS HAD ANY BRAINS": Fine, thank you.

HANNITY: I'm standing on substance here.

COULTER: Yes.

HANNITY: It's immigration. It's limits on free speech. It's not supporting tax cuts.

COULTER: It's Anwar. It's torture at Guantanamo.

HANNITY: Class warfare rhetoric. It's interrogations. It's Guantanamo. It's Anwar. These are not small issues to conservatives.

COULTER: No, and if you're looking at substance rather than whether it's an R or D after his name, manifestly, if our's candidate than Hillary's going to be our girl, Sean, because she's more conservative than he is. I think she would be stronger on the war on terrorism. I absolutely believe that.

HANNITY: That's the one area I disagree with you.

COULTER: No, yes, we're going to sign up together. Let me explain that point on terrorism.

HANNITY: You'd vote for Hillary --

COULTER: I will campaign for her if it's McCain.

Ann is far more intelligent than the McInsaniacs and has the ability to realize the long term repercussions of a McCain Presidency. Lord save us from McCain!

Maybe you were being sarcastic and I missed it

I was AGREEING with you!

I can understand your defenses being up - but I was slamming the non-reasoners...see my other posts.

P> If I'm a little slow in answering posts, it's because I am busy emailing back and forth with my grandson = in Taliban Central - northeastern Afghanistan = coldest winter there in 30 years - and they are in it 24/7 - no heat, etc - I am always overjoyed when he is on his laptop as I know he is safe for the hour

I dearly wish the Ann's of this world and some FR's could get dropped in there for just one week...and see where their priorities might lie after being shot at/mortared every day

Ann knows Communists all to well. The most sure way of Communists obtaining their goals is to have leftists nominated from both parties. First, there must be an insidious traitor to win the Republican nomination. If he is victorious, he can then proceed to gut the conservatives within the party.

By doing so, the Communists have achieved true one party rule. The key to this goal is to first subvert the conservative party.

You’re right. Thank you for reminding me. I am very disappointed in Roberts’ vote on Kelo, but that doesn’t make him a Souter (yet). I hope that he doesn’t disappoint us more/again.

Thank you for the course correction.

McCain is banking on a “they have nowhere to go” theory.

he is an idiot.

Hillary vs Mccain makes McCain an irrelivancy in politics.

—”I will hope that the GOP’s conservative wing will be strong enough to block most of his domestic policies.”—

As we could with anyone in the White House.

I respect your opinion, and you certainly have every right to do as you wish.
But, McCain will actually think those that held their noses and voted for him, support his positions. Ann is right. McCain is left of Hillary.

It certainly is a sad state. The only way to stop them all is to go Obama.

That “cute Dartmouth coed” shot is the only photo of her I’ve seen that I like.

Spare us the drama, please.

Few thinking people believe Hillary will withdraw from Iraq...and saddle the Democrat party with the responsibility for defeat. Even in last night’s debate, she said something to the effect that it is Bush’s responsibility to end the war that he started.

Furthermore... how did McCain get such a tough reputation on the war on terror, when he opposes harsh interrogation techiques, and wants to close Gitmo- bringing the terrorists onto our soil and giving them access to our court system. A system that they despise, but will use to their advantage. (forgive the run-on sentence).

If the Republican Party continues to move to the left, and cozy up to the liberals, who stands for the troops then? Many are standing firm to conservative principals BECAUSE of love for the country and the troops. If there is no real difference between the parties, how is that good for the troops?

We survived Carter. We got Reagan. We survived Clinton, and took over both houses of Congress for the first time in 40 years. Then we squandered it by letting our spineless Republican politicians govern and spend like Democrats. We need another wake up call, because history shows that Republican politicians only recognize the value of conservative principals when Republican voters hold their feet to the fire.

I refuse to accept that by refusing to “grab the ankles” for McCain and the libs, we are responsible for the deaths of our troops. As a retired soldier, I find it offensive.

No one who truly believed in ...
_____________

And there is where the whole Ann thing falls apart. I don’t for a moment buy that she believes in anything other than her own celebrity. It may not have always been that way, but somewhere along the way she figured out that strident, leggy and (bottle) blonde was getting her a lot of attention (read: $$$). The tone and subject matter of her books absolutely guarantees best seller status and the attendant celebrity that accompanies best selling authors.

The last thing she can tolerate is to fall beneath the radar.

This close to super Tuesday, her comments will be fresh in the minds of every republican voter
______________

Ann Coulter wishes the above were true. I daresay that the majority of GOP voters on super tuesday would respond ‘Ann who said what?’.

I can’t believe so many here find this shrew attractive. If God is a just God, when Islamic terrorists die as “martyrs” they’ll be stuck with 72 shrews like her for eternity, nagging, complaining, and emasculating them forever.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one that feels that way. It's getting so I avoid the Coulter threads because I'm afraid there might be pictures. And, what a shameful exhibition that was last night.

Actually, having met and spoken with her at length a number of times, I can affirm that she is not a shrew. She is a very very smart, intellectually solid lady with a charming personality.

In person also, she is very attractive, with a fine willowy figure and eyes like green laser beams.

I admit to being smitten, but you are way off the mark.
