Knock it off with the Hate crap.

Every time one of you Mitt supporters use that line you sound just like a democrat.

Nobody hates Mitt or Mormons.

Grow-up!

"the Constitution Party"

"The Constitution Party" sounds interesting.

This might be a good replacement for the GOP.

I agree with Ann. I’d vote for Hillary before I’d vote for McCain. However, I wouldn’t vote for either of them.

While still contemplating the Florida primary result, I came to the conclusion that voting for HILLARY!! might be the most Conservative vote I could mark, while smoking a cigarette and sipping a glass of lambusco in the garage this afternoon and now I’m told that one of the other 3 GreatMinds in the world has arrived at the same conclusion ?!? :) But I understand exactly what Ann said.

I must admit that I find Romney’s weak record on abortion to be very disturbing. Abortion is my main issue after national security. I just wish I had any confidence in McCain to nominate good judges.

"Nobody hates Mitt or Mormons."

Where have YOU been??? Not on the Romney threads apparently. Because we have been dealing with SOME posters, for about a year now, who undoubtedly hate Romney and despise the Mormon religion.

Antoninus, you are being a bit disingenuous about Romneys roll in the Catholic charity adoption issue.

http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2006/03/10/catholic_charities_to_halt_adoptions_over_issue_involving_gays/

from the above article, Within an hour of Catholic Charities' announcement, Gov. Mitt Romney said he planned to file a bill that would allow religious organizations to seek an exemption from the state's anti-discrimination laws to provide adoption services. .... "While I respect the board's decision to stay true to their principles, I find the current state of the law deeply disturbing and a threat to religious freedom," he said

But let's get back to your original point. Stop insisting that because someone supports a different candidate or strategy than you, (in most cases a more realistic strategy), that it means a person isn't a conservative.

There are only a few choices for why anyone who is really conservative supports Mitt Romney:

1.) Willful ignorance.
2.) Actual ignorance.
3.) Believes politics is more important than principles.

That's it, in a nutshell. And there is NO excuse for a conservative to have supported this charlatan from day one.

Maybe she wants Hitlery to be the candidate because any R can beat her?

It’s satire?

One can hope ;

I think she stole my thunder. I use absurdity to illustrate the absurd.

I doubted Anne’s ability and rationale once when she challenged the 9/11 widows. I winced. I didn’t get it and was about to trash her. But she paved the way. Now it is PC to slam any liberal plant.

It’s brilliant.

I don't care if they resurrect Ronald Reagan from the dead to run as McCain's Vice.
If McCain's on the ticket, I'm voting against him!!!

I really don’t know at this point. If asked to choose between the two I would have difficulty. I think hillary might be more aggressive in the WOT than McCain. She’s a ruthless bitch and has a lot to prove. Neither choice is good.

I can understand her frustration.

I will be dissenting in a few ways myself.

1) On Super Tuesday, I will not be voting for McCain.

2) When McCain is nominated, ON THAT VERY DAY, the wife and I will be be at town hall changing our party affiliation from Republican to Independent.

3) When Election Day comes, I will be writing in Fred Thompson.

Romney is running on a conservative platform, has conservative support, will be beholding to conservatives and therefore is going to have to govern that way, or risk his second term. That’s the way it works and most people seem to understand that. Unfortunately, in your ignorance, you don’t.
