Michael Medved has hurled the ultimate insult at Rush Limbaugh -- that he's acting like a liberal. According to Medved, Rush is thinking with his emotions, not his mind, when it comes to his criticism of of John McCain.
McCain supporter Medved appeared on Tucker Carlson's MSNBC show this evening.

Medved the former liberal needs to thank Rush everyday for getting him his start in radio how ungrateful this guy is. McCain stinks.

Rush is simply saying the GOP will lose with McCain - after his nomination the media will destroy him fast. That is possible, in spite of what the current polls say about McCain beating Hillary or Obama. But the thing is, does Rush think the media would/would have sit back and give a Thompson, Hunter, or Mitt Romney or anybody other than McCain a free pass? The fact that McCain appeals to a broader base is a plus, not a negative, just like it was for Reagan. Medved is right about that too, and Rush is wrong.

Answer: Tucker Carlson and Michael Medved. Question: Who are two “conservatives” who have already jumped the shark on their conservative credentials.
To: governsleastgovernsbest
I'm very, very, very disappointed in Michael for the things he's been saying this election. However . . . no conservative must ever forget how he has spoken out for us vis a vis the entertainment industry. For that alone he deserves our eternal gratitude.

Agree with you 100%. And now there are a bunch of FReepers joining in the drone of the Limbaughs, Coulters, etc. who are claiming that there is no difference between McCain, both pro-military and pro-life (0% NARAL rating), and Clinton or Obama, with their anti-military, pro-abortion (100% NARAL rating)stance.Exactly. Rush & company have fueled a lot of hysteria and the dittoheads have been more than eager to take up their marching orders, without for a moment actually putting things in their proper perspective.

"I am no huge fan of Rush Limbaugh, but what is the deal with all the slams on the man for the last few weeks?"
Rush always states that his show is about himself stating his opinions. His "slams on the man" is because McCain is running for the President of the United States, and is claiming to be a conservative. Rush is a political commentator that is commenting about McCains history when it comes to taxes, education, nanny state, free speech, immigration, etc. Rush is also commenting on Obama, Hillary McCain and others. Rush is a political commentator that is a conservative commenting and giving his opinion on those running as President. Rush is doing his job, no one should be surprised.

Frankly, Medved has said a lot of things that I disagree with lately. I’ve been wondering if he was a bit of a liberal, himself. His biggest issue is security for Israel, so maybe he thinks that McCain is his guy.

I should add that Medved is a bit of a nut. For instance, that jacket that he’s wearing is the only jacket that he owns. I can’t remember the details, but I think he also said that he only has one pair of shoes and that he wore that when he wore that jacket to the Whitehouse, they made him stand in the back row.

I will not vote for a mentally unstable person no matter what his hero status is. I have observed McCain (not as a candidate, I never considered him to be viable) but as a Senior citizen and I believe he is exhibiting the early signs of Dementia. We can ill afford someone with a diminished mental capacity as our President. He has made some meaningful sacrifices far fewer useful contributions and it is obvious that his ability contribute useful or otherwise is quickly coming to an end.

Michael Medved is a total POS. He needs to take along vacation to some distant island.

I think Medved is a former Democrat. That would explain his liberal leanings.

Medved and McCain are both pro amnesty. That pretty much explains where Medved is coming from.

All the while that Rush has been calling McCain a liberal he has been behaving just like his counterparts on the left. No, Rush would be acting like his counterparts on the left were he to pretend that McCain is NOT a liberal. That's what the left does, pretend they aren't liberal.
To: GregoTX
Rush is doing his job, no one should be surprised. And doing it quite well, we should add.

McCain couldn't qualify for membership in the herd. . .
. . . . .. so he changed his tactics.
This is what Rush is talking about.
