This was a surprise. From the Hunter statement:
"I got to know Governor Huckabee well on the campaign trail," said Hunter. "Of the remaining candidates I feel that he is strongly committed to strengthening national defense, constructing the border fence and meeting the challenge of China's emergence as a military superpower that is taking large portions of Americas industrial base."
"Along with these issues of national security, border enforcement and protecting the U.S. industrial base, I see another quality of Mike Huckabee's candidacy that compels my endorsement. Mike Huckabee is a man of outstanding character and integrity. I saw that character over the last year of campaigning and was greatly impressed. The other Republican candidates have many strengths and I wish them all well. My personal choice is Mike Huckabee," Hunter concluded.
Oh my. I thought Hunter was gonna win. end sarcasm
This election cycle is causing me to want, no need, to get popped.
Hillary is looming.....OMG
Pissant is lying low.
Can’t say as I blame him.
Ha! Ha!
You guys had me going for a minute there...
this is just a joke, right?
ROTFLMAO!
Gee, I wonder what Huckabee will do with those 800 supporters.
I supported Hunter and then Thompson. If it’s true that Hunter endorsed Huckabee, then perhaps Hunter wasn’t who I thought he was or perhaps Huckabee is being misrepresented on FR. I’ll have to do some digging...
Romney/Thompson is still out there. Unless Fred endorses Mc Maniac.
Duck Funcan.
All I got to say on this matter.
Whaa?%#*.... GOOD MAN???
Are you serious?
Hunter has obviously been bought off by Hunter.
In fact, Hunter is not even a conservative! He is a lib-loving traiter!
Of course I'm being facetious.
Duncan is a wonderful conservative.
Aint it funny, though, how this DEMAND of 100% PURITY to conservatism can be a real stickler -- now that the Hunter people are the "flip-floppers."
Can I get my campaign donations back?
A passive profit sharing ... a form of retirement income like most retirees have ... and not active in the day-to-day management.
I understand what Duncan says however its not realistic to believe Romney has a say in changing current management decisions. Even as the one of the founders, the guys there now are making their mark.

Romney Worth As Much As $250 Million By JIM KUHNHENN, Associated Press Writer

A notation in Romney’s filing, however, says that under a noncompete agreement with Bain Capital, Romney retains a ``passive profit share as a retired partner in certain Bain Capital entities formed on or prior to Feb. 11, 2009.’’
A note in Romney’s report states that Romney asked for a listing of Bain’s underlying holdings, but, like other funds in his blind trust, the fund managers said the information was confidential and declined to provide it.

Associated Press Writer Glen Johnson in Boston and Garance Burke in Fresno, Calif., contributed to this report. [snip]
Of course maybe we should pull all candidates reports filed with the Federal Election Commission and the U.S. Office of Government Ethics and see what might be in them ... or how scarce the information in them really is.
I am shocked. I thought Duncan cared about America.
but but but!
I’ve heard here that MITTTTTTT! is the true conservative!!!!!
Hooray!!!!! I knew that man was smart! I still say Duncan is the best man for the job, but hey....this makes me very happy.
You seem to be easily impressed. When the bar is so low, no one is amazed that anyone can get over it.
Personally I consider Huckabee to be about the worst of those still standing. (I don't count Ron Paul. I never have.) I'd prefer him over Hillary or Obama, but that's not saying very much.
It’s official. Huckabee-hate is stronger than Hunter-love on FreeRepublic.
I don’t know, I’m hoping it’s not McCain myself, both are equally bad IMO.
And Thompson may not support anyone now, but I doubt he’ll be mum come November.
And my second choice candidate drops below the no vote line. Good thing he’s already dropped.
I could easily see Huck nominating a Harriet Miers-type because he “trusts her heart.”

or looking into Putin’s eyes and seeing his soul. Or believing that palestinians really do want democracy and live in peace. Or picking some idiot to run FEMA because he was a friend of a friend.
