I wanted him to pick up some momentum with every good thing that has come out about Fred these past several weeks. I insisted he wasn't a stalking horse. I will never believe that he was. I think his run is over. I hope he does too. If he bows out, who will he endorse? Some will say his longtime friend and some say probable republican nominee McCain? I'm hoping it will be the guy who closest represents the conservatism I've admired in Fred Thompson. Not McCain, not the Huckster, and not Rudy. I hope its Romney that Fred Thompson endorses.
He isn’t out. He might be out after Florida. Then he will likely endorse McCain, who he endorsed in 2000.
You can forget that. If Fred supports anyone it will be “my friend” McQueeg.
I believe you have to drop out before you endorse another candidate. Since he hasn’t, and the media is selecting our candidate anyway, let’s not give them extra ammo.
Hunter should endorse Fred and Fred should keep going.
Regards
Maybe he’ll endorse Hunter.
If he drops, I don’t think he’ll endorse any of them. The only one with a chance is Romney. McCain (yes, I know its his friend) and Huck are just too ideologically different than Fred. Fred has too much integrity to endorse someone who is bad for conservatism.
He endorses McCain it will be the greatest political mistake the GOP Establishment has made since they let a little wack job name Perot steal 20% of their voting block 2 elections running.
I certainly don't agree with McCain on everything, but I feel like I know what to expect with him.
All that being said, Fred can make a nice VP candidate for someone.
Vanities are bad enough but this one takes the cake. Why don’t you wait and see if he plans on competing in Florida.
800 votes ain’t gonna help
His good friend, John McCain.
If Fred supports McCain, especially after that immigration fiasco last summer, then Fred wasn’t the man I thought he was and I will rejoice that he leaves the race.
If he endorses McCain, that would really tell you something about Thompson’s conservatism.
Fred will endorse Fred
Thompson was always my number two guy. I've never had anything bad to say about him. I've always indicated that I'd be pleased to vote for him. He was, IMO, a true conservative, and the type of candidate who could make a difference. The only candidate who was better, IMO, was Duncan Hunter.
If Thompson drops out, and Hunter stays in, then Thompson should endorse Hunter -- they have always been the most similar of all the candidates.
Of course, Thompson is most likely to endorse McCain. Which is why the GOP is in very serious trouble.
Why should he quit?
Its only a short time till super Tuesday.
I change hourly on who I think will win. LOL! Now for the first time I can see it being McCain.
...Is this; your wistfully thinking or are you just parroting, $hrillary? ...ABCNNBC_b.s...LMSM
