Sen. John McCain won Saturday's South Carolina Republican presidential primary, AP projects.
Fox News and NBC News exit polls ranked the economy as the top concern among South Carolina primary voters, followed by illegal immigration, the war in Iraq, and terrorism.
Columnist and Weekly Standard Editor William Kristol commenting on Saturday's results on the Fox News Channel said that the Republican field is now winnowing down to just three viable candidates: McCain, Mitt Romney, and Rudy Giuliani.
McCainiac is unacceptable as a presidential candidate.
Of course Huckabee won the “pro-legal abortion” vote — these were liberals who crossed over to pick the man they believe the MSM is most likely to destroy.
“There will be no more Reagan’s, Hunters, Thompsons or Tancredo’s.”
I think that this may be a sign to conservatives to dump the Republican party and start a new one for true conservatives. I will not vote for Rudy or McKennedy.
Well, here is McCain giving his speech.
No make up or vasoline on the lens. He is old.
Additionally, the social issues are fought through the courts, not the executive branch.
And if the choice is between McCain and Clinton or McCain or Obama who would you vote for?
Excellent cartoon.
How is McCain the “front-runner”?
McCain wins So Carolina with 33% (Ummm I think that is one-third)
Romney wins Nevada with 51% (A little over half)
Am I missing something?
You are spot on! It could not have been said better.
I strongly believe that voting for a Dhimmicrat over McCain will be voting for the lesser of two evils. At least Republicans can oppose the stupid policies of a Dhimmicrat.
I absolutely will not vote for him under any circumstance and it is exactly for the reasons you post.
Actually my prediction has been that we will wind up with a McCain/Thompson ticket ...
At the very least it will create some interesting "discussion" here on FR...
It could be almost as interesting as the stuff that went on here pre v post "W" nomination in 2000 ... heh
ha.. you are cracking me up. Massachusetts has not even had their primary yet.
I won’t vote for him either. How ever that troubles me.
Will that matter when we have an even larger terrorist attack because the Democrats are soft on foreign policy and military matters?
Who is the Whig candidate?
Are they calling McCain the front runner now? I expected that even though Romney is ahead in state wins and delegates.
Well i agree with you and i think he was leaning more to thompson, however, i think he needs to be a little more vocal on this. People aren’t finding their way though this because they are not getting the right info on each candidate.
The only silver lining is this is another example of a state who allows independents to vote and that’s what’s influencing this and setting the tone. With help from the drive bys
With the MSM on his side, maybe. But they'll rip him apart when he's the actual nominee and the dems pick theirs. Then it's a guy who the base hates and the media destroys and we'll probably get Hillary.
I feel like Captain Kirk in The Wrath of Khan. "Jooooohhhhhnnnn!"
The liar is talking about honesty and trust. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
