Today is the day.
Just getting back from church. Hooray for Thompson taking third!
How can we dump Huckabee out of second place?
The rich can inccur the risk. Not a very strong argument. The state saves a fortune if its residents are covered by private insurance. Plus, I would like my premiums cut in half as happened in Mass with such a large pool of people. One of the reasons your premiums keep going up is you are paying for all the uninsureds.
Thanks for the info...about that and the weather.
What????? I guarantee those driving with only liability and no collision insurance are not the rich.
Maybe in a hick's eyes I do. After all, I'm educated and don't have dirt & dookie stuck between my toes. I've never thought of myself as upper-crusty, or any type of crusty for that matter, but I'll take that label over hick any day. By the way, you do know that you share a name with the 2nd gayest character in Spartacus, don't you?
Marcus Licinius Crassus: Do you eat oysters?
Antoninus: When I have them, master.
Marcus Licinius Crassus: Do you eat snails?
Antoninus: No, master.
Marcus Licinius Crassus: Do you consider the eating of oysters to be moral and the eating of snails to be immoral?
Antoninus: No, master.
Marcus Licinius Crassus: Of course not. It is all a matter of taste, isn't it?
Antoninus: Yes, master.
Marcus Licinius Crassus: And taste is not the same as appetite, and therefore not a question of morals.
Antoninus: It could be argued so, master.
Marcus Licinius Crassus: My robe, Antoninus. My taste includes both snails and oysters.
You’re welcome. It’s hard to compare one primary to the next because it’s open...a lot depends on the political circumstances.
On another thread people were complaining about Fox negativity saying the Weather would mean a poor turn out!
To me it is like planting a negative seed now makes me wonder if all the votes were reported how would anyone really know the way thing are so corrupted in the times we live?
To: TBBT
This pisses me off. Fox knows that exit polling is hazardous and suppresses turn out- bad for insurgents (like Fred). The weather here is horrible and likely to hold down participation anyway.
I dont who said FOx is a conservative network.

That was so bad of Romney, appointing a democrat to replace him as governor-dictator.
He’ll gain as many women as he loses evangelicals. Or more.
Every Senator who voted for amnesty is a TRAITOR...
McCain is a traitor who conspires to allow the continued invasion of the United States.
I will not vote for a traitor.
Doesn’t change the core principal. Lots of people are becoming wards of the state, which you are paying for. Requiring private health insurance enhances personal responsibility....one of the hallmarks of conservatism. Plus the state subsidizes those that can’t afford it and saves a fortune in the process....saving you tax dollars.
The alternative is real european style medicine, which the rats will impose on us if we let this issue go their way.
I applaud Romney for stepping up to the plate and actually doing something about the problem, rather than blowing hot air, like every other politician out there.
Romney walks the walk, other candidates just talk the talk.
That's exactly what it is, of course. Same thing happened in 2000 in Florida, remember? The only difference was it was a different lamestream channel reporting....somewhat different type of information, but the effect desired was the same.
We were talking about health insurance. You can afford a quick $100,000 to go to the hospital?
In the states that “require” insurance of “everyone” who drive a car...it ends up only being those who obey the laws.
The illegals, who commit murder with their illegally driven cars, and other low lifes, don’t purchase insurance. However, the person who followed the law, his/her own insurance company ends up paying for everything....and, whallah, the illegals and lawbreakers get off again....while the others continue paying higher premiums because of it.
It sounds like you believe that magic fairies pay for all the uninsured people that show up to be treated, then skip out on their bills. You can try to weasel out of this one, but unless you have enough guts to deny the freeloaders care, you have exactly three choices:
- Pay higher medical costs through higher insurance rates
- Pay higher taxes so the government can bail out the hospitals
- Make the freeloaders pay up front
Number three, which is exactly what Romney’s plan does, seems like the most honest option. In fact, actuarial analysis done recently by the state of Mass indicates that medium and large group rates are on track to drop by 10%, with small group rates rising 1%. Also, reports indicate that the number of uninsured encounters have dropped by 1/3. Gee - looks like it’s working.
And although it may not be popular to say so on this forum, he would also gain many moderates who don't always vote Republican. Mitt could win this thing, it's an auspicious time to be a moderate conservative. Better a moderate conservative than a straight-up socialist liberal like Hillary
Thank you I have mistaken another lady for Fred mother!
