Doesn’t change the core principal. Lots of people are becoming wards of the state, which you are paying for. Requiring private health insurance enhances personal responsibility....one of the hallmarks of conservatism. Plus the state subsidizes those that can’t afford it and saves a fortune in the process....saving you tax dollars.
The alternative is real european style medicine, which the rats will impose on us if we let this issue go their way.
I applaud Romney for stepping up to the plate and actually doing something about the problem, rather than blowing hot air, like every other politician out there.
Romney walks the walk, other candidates just talk the talk.
In the states that “require” insurance of “everyone” who drive a car...it ends up only being those who obey the laws.
The illegals, who commit murder with their illegally driven cars, and other low lifes, don’t purchase insurance. However, the person who followed the law, his/her own insurance company ends up paying for everything....and, whallah, the illegals and lawbreakers get off again....while the others continue paying higher premiums because of it.
And I don’t see the Romney’s walked his talk, except shortly before he decided to run for president. That kind of walk is always suspect to me.
Hell no. He isn't walking the talk.
