Who are the bigger RINOs in your opinion, Paultards or Giulianites?
Even he probably prefers it isn’t Democrats replacing Ginsberg and Stevens the next four years.
I love it.
That should be Paul not Pail.
But watch what happens. When the general election rolls around, we are going to be told by the elites to vote Republican or else. And Paul's supporters are going to get blamed for not voting for the GOP nominee if it isn't Paul. They are going to get called traitors and cut-and-runners, just like in 2006.
The only GOP candidate I would vote for is Fred Thompson. If it ain't Fred, I'm encouraging Paul to go 3rd party.
Let's see now. They aren't anti-war but PREFER it be declared according to the Constitution. Anti-Patriot Act? So what show me the Constitutional basis for it. And as for being pro-Pali? LOL that's rich. It's Bush in case you haven't heard the news in the past few months who is force feeding Israel a peace treaty with them.
Now about it's founder. Ever Conservative should be thankful to the man Howard Phillips. He and a few others formed the grassroots movement that helped put Reagan in the White House and made way for the GOP wins in 94.
Actually though Ron Paul was not the first one who has been asked. A very conservative congressman in good standing and good reputation was also asked to consider it and that man as well has vote no on some of Bush's not so good ideas. But I doubt anyone knows enough about the CP other than they like to bash them to know who it was they asked to consider it. Nobody has done more to position the GOP to the left while in Oval Office than the Father and son Bush. The CP is well right on those two liberals on all issues including Israel.
For anyone wanting to read for themselves the Constitution Party Platform here it is I would not consider it as leaning left by any means. It's well right of the GOP and far right of the DEMs.
Say what? Read the Constitution Party Platform. Here is what they say on Immigration. Can the GOP do better than this?
Immigration
We affirm the integrity of the international borders of the United States and the Constitutional authority and duty of the federal government to guard and to protect those borders, including the regulation of the numbers and of the qualifications of immigrants into the country.
Each year approximately one million legal immigrants and almost as many illegal aliens enter the United States. These immigrants - including illegal aliens - have been made eligible for various kinds of public assistance, including housing, education, Social Security, and legal services. This unconstitutional drain on the federal Treasury is having a severe and adverse impact on our economy, increasing the cost of government at federal, state, and local levels, adding to the tax burden, and stressing the fabric of society. The mass importation of people with low standards of living threatens the wage structure of the American worker and the labor balance in our country.
We oppose the abuse of the H-1B and L-1 visa provisions of the immigration act which are displacing American workers with foreign.
We favor a moratorium on immigration to the United States, except in extreme hardship cases or in other individual special circumstances, until the availability of all federal subsidies and assistance be discontinued, and proper security procedures have been instituted to protect against terrorist infiltration.
We also insist that every individual group and/or private agency which requests the admission of an immigrant to the U.S., on whatever basis, be required to commit legally to provide housing and sustenance for such immigrants, bear full responsibility for the economic independence of the immigrants, and post appropriate bonds to seal such covenants.
The Constitution Party demands that the federal government restore immigration policies based on the practice that potential immigrants will be disqualified from admission to the U.S. if, on the grounds of health, criminality, morals, or financial dependence, they would impose an improper burden on the United States, any state, or any citizen of the United States.
We oppose the provision of welfare subsidies and other taxpayer-supported benefits to illegal aliens, and reject the practice of bestowing U.S. citizenship on children born to illegal alien parents while in this country.
We oppose any extension of amnesty to illegal aliens. We call for the use of U.S. troops to protect the states against invasion.
We oppose bilingual ballots. We insist that those who wish to take part in the electoral process and governance of this nation be required to read and comprehend basic English as a precondition of citizenship. We support English as the official language for all governmental business by the United States.
Paul's support is mainly anti-war lefties. But they either cannot (closed primaries) or will not (other options, can't bring themselves to actually vote Republican ever, or dude it's a long drive and the bong is full, etc.) vote for him. His big straw poll wins were driven by those who either will not or cannot vote for him in primaries. He's done. His campaign has choked like Mama Cass at a Kretchmar convention.
The CP is very hard-core anti-illegal immigration. It is the Libertarian Party that always pushed for open borders and "free movement of peoples"
The question is why didn't Ron Paul renounce the LP's position on immigration when he was the party's nominee in 1988, if he's as staunchly pro-border security as he claims?
Because in 1988 there was not the numbers of illegals we see today especially in the past 8 years after W swung the border doors wide open and in effect shut down the BP. Today all states and even many small towns are now effected. Build an Industrial Park the illegals flood it the same with even DOD facilities. Even China Nationals are invited in to those.
As if you would actually vote for one of them?
Do you live in a state that has yet to hold the dem primary?
Wouldn't the Republicans hold their primary on the same day?
The last democrat that I actually voted for was George Wallace, but never again will these fingers vote for any democrat.
If the Republican Party puts up a RINO, as I strongly suspect they will, I will simply stay home.
I'm never voting for another RINO either.
Hey isn’t a ping to the ron paul ping list in order?
I find it amusing that so many CP followers are disgusted by this active pursuit of Ron Paul.
FYI: FDT is a member of the CFR.

(friends don't let friends vote for globablists)
Billyboy, I believe Ron Paul ran as a republican in 88 on the LP ticket at the time. He didn’t convert to the LP because he didn’t agree with all the planks of the party platform and publically stated this before he accepted the nomination and nod so there was no misunderstanding. Immigration was one of those planks he didn’t agree with.
So you keep claiming “Paul’s support is mainly anti-war lefties” despite the fact all his votes are from Republicans, and virtually all his money is from red states.
Has it ever occured to any of the anti-Paul nuts that there are a lot of Republicans who were against military intervention when the president had a (D) next to his name didn’t flip-flop when we got one with an (R)? There are a lot of Republicans out there who don’t stop to see what party is in the White House before taking a position.
They won't read it on the website, and even if you post parts of it here, they still won't read it.
Or they will argue each point into the ground separately without actually understanding anything they have read.
Do you think that is a gross generalization, jtbm?
Past posting history has given me that attitude.
The GOP RINO supporters here have staunchly resisted any attempts at reasonable, logical posts, so pardon my attitude if you don't fit the mold.
