Can you blame them? You're talking about people who never cared about politics in the first place until Paul came along. Why should they compromise for the same-old same-old?
No kidding. If there is one thing which impresses me about Pail(besides aspects of his stances on small government and immigration) it was his ability to stir up talk amongst a population bloc which never votes.

And rather than embracing some of Paul's views and reaching out to his supporters, the GOP wants to throw them under the bus.
But watch what happens. When the general election rolls around, we are going to be told by the elites to vote Republican or else. And Paul's supporters are going to get blamed for not voting for the GOP nominee if it isn't Paul. They are going to get called traitors and cut-and-runners, just like in 2006.
The only GOP candidate I would vote for is Fred Thompson. If it ain't Fred, I'm encouraging Paul to go 3rd party.
