If Rush endorsed Romney, he’d seriously piss off a good portion of his audience, who would call him a sellout, insist he was a liberal, wonder how much he was paid, and start making stuff up about him to discredit him.

If he endorsed Thompson, the reaction wouldn’t be nearly so bad for him, but he’d still piss off a good part of his audience.

I’m not saying he won’t endorse someone — I’m just defending him if he decides not to. It’s not his job to tell people what to do, and I don’t think there’s any question to his loyal audience how he feels about Fred Thompson.

There was once a feller named FRed
Whose performance has put him ahead
I was glued to the telly

Now I'm happily going to bed!

I wish Hunter had been included.

Additionally, I know this is par for the course when everyone is so passionate about a candidate, but I really wish people would stick to the issues and abandon the personal attacks. (Not directed at you, just an observation in general.)

Yep.
Hunter is the most conservative. He supports a pro life constitutional amendment.

I’m very impressed with Mitt Romney. I have targeted him as my favorite some time ago and he has not disappointed. Romney’s success in business, above reproach personal life and public record are incredible conservative credentials. I sincerely think he has gotten a bum rap from the MSM who have been alternately pushing Huckabee and McCain.

Why has the MSM not been pushing Fred Thompson or Duncan Hunter? They are much better than Huckabee or McCain.

Terry Schiavo’s “family” wanted her dead..

The people who loved her (her parents) wanted her to live and her “husband” wanted her dead..

I prayed and cried over this case for years...

terry was murdered as surely as if Michael had shot her..

the difference being that a bullet in the head would have been merciful...

Reagan slammed the press young fella, and we loved Reagan. No Fred is not Reagan, but that’s what Ronnie did.

Good to hear. It’s only common sense,
especially in TIME OF WAR, and all states
should do that.

I’m sure the ACLU will put changing that
on their pinko agenda soon.

They’re fighting Indiana because those poor
people have to show an ID to vote!!

These people are THE most twisted, Anti-
American sickos.

ACLU = America’s Commie Liberal Ungratefuls

Frankly, I’m astonished. Although I don’t agree with Dr. Paul on everything, and I think Duncan Hunter has very conservative views and Fred Thompson seems to be honestly conservative, too, it is very difficult not to support his candidacy if one truly believes in the Constitution’s relevance today.

You need to dig a lot deeper into how Ron Paul thinks about a myriad of issues and topics.

"Here’s one libertarian who doesn’t believe that America was responsible for 911, for example, as Ron Paul is on record as saying. I suspect I’m not alone in this. Here’s one libertarian who is thoroughly annoyed at our troops being called murderers, as Ron Paul is on record as having done. I suspect I’m not alone in this. Here is one libertarian who thinks there are few people in the country which can damage the libertarian movement more than Alex Jones can… and Ron Paul embraces the guy, yet refuses to show up on mainstream talkshows. Here is one libertarian who is outright disgusted with Ron Paul’s ties to Stormfront… ties he should have had the spine to disavow, yet did not. I suspect I’m not alone in this. Here’s one libertarian who is disgusted with Ron Paul’s’ being a cheerleader for the PLO. I suspect I’m not alone in this. Here’s one libertarian who is disgusted with Ron Paul’s’ stance on Israel… and so on. The list of these is easily longer than the list of his rabid, non-thinking supporters."

If Ron Paul has won, then libertarianism has lost

Paul did it again, refused to distance himself from the Alex Jones "truthers."

It was a bad move on his part but he is still one of the most principled Republican’s in the country. Why should we write off Santorum forever when we are happy to support more moderate republicans like Thompson. We can’t win if we eat our own. We have to have some grace and forgiveness for our champions.

Yes, Ron Paul’s Jeffersonian Republicanism is forgotten these days, but do you think the GOP will ever go back, or do you think it will get addicted to the Nanny-State Socialism and big government solutions and stick there til collapse? I fear the latter.

Beats me, I wasn’t paying that much attention at first.

I think there were three letters, initials, acronym, whatever. MTI or something like that.
