I thought the time was right to start up a live thread for results and comments about tonight, so here we are!
Source: Fox News on Television.....9:05 EST
Republicans % Precincts Reporting 25 %
Huckabee 35
Romney 24
Thompson 14
McCain 12
Democrats: Precincts Reporting 44 %
Obama 33
Edwards 32
Clinton 32
Richardson 2
That's what I was thinking. Back to the old dirty tricks.
its like fred is invisible, they go on and on about McCain, but even though thompson is in third, his name NEVER even gets mentioned ????????
Got to love it when almost 70% of democrats vote AGAINST Hillary!
“I just don’t understand how they refuse to talk about Fred, other than in the context of the “rumors”.
Go Fred!”
Looks like they will have to start looking and reporting the Fred Phenomena now.
I’ll take your post with a grain of salt. (Considering the source)
I do have to admit I blew my call completely.... after his moronic idiot statements about Gitmo and Bhutto, and then the Ad/no ad fiasco I just knew Huck was going to freefall -- I predicted a fourth place for him. I apparently underestimated the sheer stupidity of the people of Iowa.
I’m in California as well. Huckabee isn’t presidental...his foreign policy view is dangerous. Almost as dangerous as dems.
Wonder if there are shoe prints or heel marks on it?
I especially remember the leaked email about FT not going to church.
Maybe this will formally end their claims of victimhood at the hands of the GOP.
“mere issue of abortion”
The ‘mere’ issue of slaughtering unborn kids..
Wow -- Fox reporting that Biden and Richardson have asked their voters to support Obama.
I'd still vote for Thompson, but I can understand why someone would vote for Huckabee... He's just so likeable. (They even had stock footage when he and Jay Leno exchanged jokes like years and years ago.) So... The man handles well on camera. In the world of Hollywood and American Idols, it just makes sense for people to Like Huckabee...
I'd still vote for Thompson.
Huckabee declared winner.
The O.J. Jury of American politics have spoken. Again.
Another theory might be that in Iowa, dems are posing as republicans in the caucus.
Just think what Thompson could have done if hed spent more time and effort in Iowa over the loing haul.
...and people are still voting!!!!
We’ve seen this at regular intervals lately haven’t we ? Every election it seems.
Drudge:
RESULTS:
Obama 33.20; Edwards 32.09; Clinton 31.77
WINNER: Huckabee 33!; Romney 24 McCain 11 Paul 0; Thompson 17 Giuliani 0
“Fred said he needed to come in 2nd. That indicates he doesnt have the $$$ to carry on without doing good in IA and NH. Fred is tied with McCain for 3rd in SC. Mitt has the $$$ to go thru SC and beyond. Fred needs donation drives just to run commercials.”
blah blah blah.
