In a report posted on the website Atlantic Free Press, Code Pink leader Medea Benjamin claims that a high-ranking Democrat staffer demanded the immediate release of the protesters who were arrested at yesterday's House hearing where Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was assaulted by a Code Pink protester.
Benjamin, who was also arrested by Capitol Police outside the hearing room, wrote this morning that, "The Deputy Chief of Staff of the House Foreign Relations Committee contacted the Capitol Police later in the day to again relay that their (sic) is a policy of that committee to not arrest Citizen (sic) protesters but to instead escort them out of the room. The Deputy asked for the CODEPINK members to be released promptly from custody."
Code Pink has many allies in the Democratic majority who facilitate their illegal behavior. The assault by Code Pink on Sec. Rice crossed a line. That the Democrats demanded the immediate release of the Code Pink protesters is an appalling abuse of power and an insult to Sec. Rice.

She has fulfilled her mission given by the Dems. Now she is ready to be deployed for her next attack.

That “protester” had a look of pure insanity. The Dem’s constant pandering to the nut fringe is getting way out of hand.

Actual assault crosses the line, you ignorant libdolt Demcscum.
Oh, that’s right, I forgot: Laws are only supposed to apply to conservatives. Morally superior Demscum /spit are supposed to be above the law. My bad.

Thanks for the update. Great post. If born true, this is absolutely appalling! This should be in the breaking news sidebar.

The Deputy asked for the CODEPINK members to be released promptly from custody. You can have any of the Code Pinkos that were peacefully sitting there, but like hell is that witch that assaulted Rice getting out of jail.

Unbelieveable. I hope its not true. The Dems are really showing their colors now ... succumbing to any sideshow, any form of flack, and abetting assault on public figures.

With the holidays coming up there is a good opportunity to discuss this incident with liberal family and friends.

I’m still confused as to how the moonbat was able to get that close to Ms. Rice.

I wonder how the Dems would react if an anti-abortion protestor with bloody hands accosted Ruth Bader Ginsberg on her way to court?

The request for release by senior Dem staffers and the presence of the protesters at that hearing combine to give the impression that at least one Representative has violated House ethics/rules as the protesters are seemingly acting on behalf of Dems.

The whole thing was an orchestrated setup from the word go. The Dems knew it was going to happen? Hell, they made it happen! The staffers and the committee chair always know in advance what is going to transpire in their hearings. This was a show for the base and for the kook fringe. Did the MSM widely cover this abomination? If the did, it was only in passing I’m sure, ie, PROTESTER CONFRONTS RICE, now for sports............

Oh, and another thought. I wonder how the photographer happened to be so perfectly positioned to catch that shot. Who was that photographer, and who does s/he work for?

Good point. But most of them don’t have fake blood dripping from their hands. Yet, at least.
