SNIP
The onslaught began over the weekend, a week after 12-year-old Graeme Frost delivered the Democrats' weekly radio address with a plea to Bush to sign the bill. A contributor to the conservative Web site Free Republic noted Graeme's enrollment in the private Park School and the sale of a smaller rowhouse on the Frosts' block for $485,000 this year and questioned whether the family should be taking advantage of the state program.

The Frosts say the description of their family's circumstances now circulating is misleading. Halsey, they say, is a self-employed woodworker - he has no employees - while Bonnie works part time for a medical publishing firm. Together, they say, they earn between $45,000 and $50,000 a year.
That would make the Frosts eligible for Maryland's Children's Health Program, which is open to families that earn no more than 300 percent of the federal poverty level, or $82,830 a year for a family of six.
The Frosts declined to show The Sun their 2006 income tax returns...

Halsey Frost purchased the family home for $55,000 in 1990, according to city records, and refinanced in 2005, he says, to make improvements to accommodate the return of Graeme and Gemma from the hospital. The 1936 brick rowhouse, on a side street near Patterson Park, has an assessed value of $263,140.
Halsey Frost purchased a 1920 warehouse in East Baltimore for $160,000 in 1999, according to city records. It is assessed at $160,500. Frost says he is still paying off the mortgages on both properties.
The four Frost children depend on financial aid to attend private school, the Frosts say. In addition, they say, Gemma receives money from the city for special education made necessary by her injuries.

I believe gifts are reported by the donor, not the recipient and am not certain it has to even be reported by the donor if given directly to the school. I could be wrong, though.

In other words, they got busted lying, and won’t allow the real number to be made public.
Its been a very bad four weeks or so for Democrats. Since the Betray Us implosion, they’ve had similiar embarrassments each week.
Whats stunning is those attempting this kind of political con game keep forgetting, over the last four consecutive weekends how John Kerry was outted, how Dan Rather was outted, and how Media Matters was outted.
I guess you can only attribute these amature hour political mistakes to the well known arrogance of the leftwingnuts.
If you frame the the last months ‘activities’ within the viewpoint of the leftwingers - everybody is stupid but us enlightened types - it falls into place.
$80,000 is quite high for government health insurance. If the parent still can’t afford health insurance, they need to look at their lifestyle and make a decision.
OMG!! I GET IT!! The RICH Frost Grandparents make a “donation” to the school of $40,000, which is TAX DEDUCTIBLE for the Grandparents....THEN the School gives the two Frost children “SCHOLARSHIPS” so that the Frost’s don;t have to declare a GIFT of $40,000!!!!! WOW...what a RACKET!! Still, loooks like Tax Evasion even MORE!
Actually, I recall seeing that they are.
They have enough money to pay for that HIDEOUS TATTOO on her foot yet can’t find the money to pay for their kid’s HEALTH INSURANCE??? geesh....they are taking funds away from kid’s healthcare who CAN’T afford it!!
Great post; thanks; great thread. BTTT!
They wouldn’t be on the take if the fedgov weren’t so eager on the offer.
I know the D'Alesandros. They were next door neighbors for a while. Nancy does know the "culture of corruption" inside and out. She grew up with it at the breakfast table in her home in Little Italy.

Just for the record:
I would not hit it with a HAZMAT suit on.
That is all.
Carry on.
How’s married life, dude?
The article linked below talks about paying for school and medical expenses as part of estate planning.
Maybe the Frosts chose to send their kids to a private school and not purchase health insurance as part of their wealthy parents’ estate planning:
“If you pay for someone’s medical care and their insurance later reimburses them, your gift no longer qualifies for the exclusion, to the extent of the reimbursement. The IRS will treat your gift as if it were given on the date that the recipient received the reimbursement, even if you didn’t know that any expenses would be reimbursed.”

Not bad if you can do it. Milk the taxpayers for what you can, then have mom and dad pick up the rest if need be.
Jemicy School for dyslexic children is more expensive. It is about $32,000 per year. Their scholarships are about the same as Park School. (Jemicy is an excellent institution. One of my sons went there.)
Knowing what two of the schools are, I am now certain that these adults are lying about their financial situation.

Absolutely not true! That is why we have shoulder harnesses - to prevent the upper body from moving forward. Could you have a neck injury from the noggin moving forward while the shoulders are restrained? Yes. But will your HEAD move violently forward and impact the seats, etc? No.
Also, I believe they were in an SUV. The most likely scenario is that the SUV attacked them out of malice, but that is just a guess...
They are probably legally avoiding taxes using legitimate techniques. Their commercial property and other assets may be held in a LLC and the husband only pays themselves a small salary to minimize his tax burden.
Nuff said.
I suppose their political donations would show up there.

That's a lot of taxes to pay for such poor folk.
Note to the ‘Rats: You sure can pick ‘em....
