Rose Stanley AKA "Thespottedowl" is gravely ill and is not expected to make it, doctors say. Rose has posted here many years and has many friends, please keep Rose and her family in your prayers. God bless her! She was the cyber-caterer for our long-winded mystery thread, bringing us “good eats” to feast upon.
So, from one foodie to another, I pray that she will have a ton of fun in the Great Kitchen in the Sky, where, unlike her little corner of the world in CA, there is so much creme fraiche and mascarpone cheese, she can use it for wallpaper glue. Where bushels of tomatillos await the mastery of her deft hands and no peeling is required. Where little tubes of anchovy paste grow on bushes like trellis roses.
And there is no cilantro.
(I’ll bring my own when I go to join her.)
