WEARE – A father attacked his daughter's boyfriend last week after learning the boy had sex with the underage girl, police said.
It was about 1:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, when the man stormed onto the grounds of John J. Stark High School and beat up the 17-year-old from Henniker. School was just letting out, and many students witnessed the attack, said Detective Lou Chatel.
The boy suffered bruising and later received two stitches to his face.
The father was charged with simple assault, a Class B felony.
Police said the boy is dating the man's 15-year-old daughter.
The man discovered the two had had sex earlier that day, during school hours but not on school property, police said.
Under state law, a 15-year-old cannot consent to sex; therefore, police are investigating the allegation as a sexual assault.
The New Hampshire Union Leader has a policy of not identifying sexual assault victims. For that reason, the newspaper is not identifying the father.
Both students attend John Stark High School. The girl lives in Weare.
Chatel said there have been no arrests in the sex case, but he expects there will be.
It appears that the father was arrested and the 17 year old hasn't been. Ever had a daughter?

Libs decry vigilanteism, but in today’s society, there is no other form of justice. They boy will get off scott free, I predict.
We had 3 kids, ages 11, 12, 12, who brought acid bombs to school (designed from something they saw on Youtube) and they didn't even get suspended. They got "home restriction," meaning they could only be at home, school, church or at business dealing with the case.
But thank heavens they left their butter knives at home.

The father ruined that girls life.
17 year olds aren’t children any more.
What good would it do? Would it help your family if you ended up in jail?
Oh sure, bring sanity into the discussion.
They are still minors. The witnesses weren’t all 17, I’d suspect. We’re supposed to be the adults here.
What the father did was wrong and he certainly knew full well there was a price to pay for it. I might have done the same thing but I wouldn’t have gone to the school to do it. The question is would the authorities even look into the sex case if the father hadn’t gone to the school and made it a public action.

Since when is 17 a child? When I was 17 I was in Navy boot camp. (Yes, 17)

Why? First, he's a minor. I'm not. They may be lenient with him due to his age, but I won't have that excuse. I wouldn't want my children to be without a father or mother while we were in prison for failing to curb our impulses.
Second, my daughter's 10, and she already knows right from wrong. This was a 15 year old. She wasn't being coerced by an adult. She was with a boy only two years older. I don't think you can lay all the blame at his feet. If she were my daughter, we'd have a lot of talking to do.
He might have been arrested if he'd kissed the boy or pointed a picture of a gun at him.
