On Tuesday 9/11/2007 is the Sixth Anniversary that our country was savagely attacked the united hearts of our nation cried out in pain.. Here are a few pix that I chose out of the more than 500 I have on file. Wish I could post the smell. I don’t know how to describe that smell that we had for months. Every now and then we still get a wiff of it and I get hyperventilative.

6 AM - Atta and Omari board a 6 AM flight from Portland to Boston’s Logan International. Atta was selected by CAPPS (Computer Assisted Passenger Prescreening Program) for special security—this meant his bag was held till he boarded the plane.
6:45 AM - Atta and Omari arrive at Logan.
6:45 AM - From this point and until 7:40 AM, Atta and Omari, along with Satam al Suqami, Wail al Sheri, and Waleed al Shehri, check in and board AA Flight 11 to LAX. The flight is scheduled to depart at 7:45 AM. Elsewhere in Logan, Shehi, joined by Fayez Banihammad, Mohand al Shehri, Ahmed al Ghamdi, and Hamza al Ghamdi check in for United Flight 175, also bound to LAX. This flight is scheduled to leave at 8 AM.
6:52 AM - Atta takes a call from Marwan al Shehhi, they speak until 6:55 AM

7:03 AM - Continuing until 7:39 AM, Saeed al Ghamdi, Ahmed al Nami, Ahmad al Haznawi, and Ziad Jarrah check in for United Flight 93, from Newark to LAX.
7:15 AM - Khalid al Mihdhar and Majed Moqed check in to Flight 77 bound for LAX from Dulles. Over the next 20 minutes, Hani Hanjour and Nawaf and Salem al Hazmi would also check in.
7:18 AM - Mihdhar and Moqed enter the Dulles security checkpoint.
7:23 AM - Continuing until 7:28, Shehhi and his team board United 175. 7:31 AM - Continuing until 7:40, the Shehri brothers board American 11.
7:35 AM - Hanjour, at Dulles, clears security.
7:39 AM - Continuing until 7:48, terrorists board Flight 93 in Newark.
7:40 AM - American 11 pushes back from the gate.
7:50 AM - Moqed and al Mindhar board the Dulles flight.
7:58 AM - United Flight 175 pushes back from its Logan gate.
7:59 AM - American 11 takes off.

8:00 AM - United 175 pushes back from the gate.
8:00 AM - 19 terrorists had successfully defeated all in-place security measures in American civil air travel.
8:09 AM - American 77 pushes back from its Dulles gate.
8:14 AM - American 11 reaches 26,000 feet. The last routine communication comes from this flight. It is believed American 11 is hijacked at this point as it then fails to heed a request to climb to 35,000 feet.
8:14 AM - United 175 is airborne from Boston.
8:19 AM - Call from AT&T airphone aboard American 11, from Betty Org, to report an emergency in flight. The call will last to 8:44 AM.
8:20 AM - American 77 takes off from Dulles.
8:21 AM - American Airlines is alerted to call coming from Flight 11.
8:21 AM - American 11 turns off its transponder.
8:23 AM - American Airlines dispatcher attempts to contact Flight 11, no success.
8:25 AM - Hijackers on Flight 11 attempt to broadcast to passengers, use radio instead of intercom. Transmission is intercepted by Boston Air Traffic Control (ATC).
8:25 AM - Amy Sweeney calls from Flight 11 to American Flight Service Office in Boston, but is cut off.
8:25 AM - One hijacker transmits “We have some planes.”
8:25 - Continuing until 8:32, Boston center starts notifying FAA chain of command that American 11 had been hijacked.
8:26 AM - Ong, in her call from Flight 11, reports the plane is flying erratically.
8:27 AM - Flight 11 turns south.
8:29 AM - American Airlines contacts Boston ATC Center—they were already aware of the problem.
8:29 AM - Amy Sweeney again calls from Flight 11 and is again cut off.
8:32 AM - FAA Command Center passes word of a possible hijacking to the FAA HQ Operations Center.
8:33 AM - United 175 reaches cruising altitude of 31,000 feet.
8:34 AM - Boston control receives the following from American 11: “Nobody move please. We are going back to the airport. Don’t try to make any stupid moves.
8:34 AM - Boson control tries to contact the military through the FAA Cape Cod facility.
8:38 AM - Flight 11 begins a rapid descent.
8:38 AM - The US military first learns of hijacked aircraft. Two F-15s at Otis AFB are ordered to take off.
8:41 AM - Flight 11 passengers are under the impression there’s a medical emergency in First Class.
8:41 AM - American operation’s center believes Flight 11 is headed for JFK International, they are clearing folks out of the way.
8:42 AM - United 175 reports “suspicious transmission from another aircraft” (which would be American 11)—this would be United 175’s last transmission.
8:42 AM - Hijackers begin the takeover of United 175—they would complete this task by 8:46 AM.
8:42 AM - United 93 takes off from Newark, NJ.
8:44 AM - The Ong phone call ends due to lost contact.
8:46 AM - American 77 reaches cruising altitude of 35,000 feet.
8:46 AM - Two F-15s take off from Otis AFB.
8:47 AM - Flight 11 strikes the north tower of the WTC.
8:47 AM - United 175 changes beacon codes, twice.
8:48 AM - New York FAA center believs there’s a problem with Flight 11, unaware it had already crashed.
8:51 AM - United 175 deviates from its assigned altitude.
8:51 AM - American 77 transmits its last routine radio communication.
8:51 AM - Hijackers take over Flight 77, they would complete the task by 8:54 AM.
8:51 AM - New York traffic control notices the transponder change from United 175.
8:52 AM - New York ATC tries unsuccessfully to contact United 175.
8:52 AM - Lee Hanson, in Easton, CT, receives a call from his son Peter on United 175 that indicates a hijacking took place.
8:52 AM - Male flight attendant from United 175 calls the United office in San Francisco, indicates the flight had been hijacked. The call would last until 8:54 AM
8:53 AM - Otis AFB F-15s ordered to air space off Long Island.
8:53 AM - New York control indicates “we may have a hijack”.
8:54 AM - American 77 turns south and dives below radar level.
8:55 AM - New York center controller in charge notifies a manager she believes United 175 has also been hijacked.
8:56 AM - Flight 77 turns off its transponder. Primary radar information is lost to Indianapolis Center controllers, and would remain so until 9:05 AM.
8:58 AM - United 175 turns toward New York city.
8:58 AM - New York FAA ATC believes there are two hijackings.
8:59 AM - United 175 passenger Brian David calls his wife Julie—leaves a message on the answering machine the plane has been hijacked.

9:00 AM - Lee Hanson receives another call from his son on Flight 175. The call would end abruptly.
9:00 AM - American Airlines Executive Vice President Gerard Arpey learns that communications have been lost with Flight 77, the second American Airlines flight to which this has happened.
9:00 AM - American Airlines orders that all of its planes in the northeast that are on the ground are to remain grounded.
9:01 AM - New York center requests millitary assistance.
9:02 AM - Boston center finally understands the meaning of “we have planes”.
9:03 AM - United 175 strikes the south tower of the WTC.
9:03 AM - Otis AFB fighters reach airspace off Long Island. They would stay here until 9:13 AM.
9:03 AM - Boston Center indicates it will no longer clear departures from airports under its control.
9:05 AM - Boston Center alerts FAA Command Center about “we have planes”.
9:05 AM - New York ATC closes New York airspace.
9:05 AM - Flight 77 returns as a primary radar target to Indianapolis center, but it is not noticed.
9:07 AM - FAA controllers at Boston urder Herndon command center to “get messages to airborne aircraft to increase security for the cockpit.”
9:08 AM - NEADS (military) orders fighters from Long Island holding pattern to fly over Manhattan. FAA clears the airspace.
9:08 AM - Indianapolis ATC loses Flight 77 from radar, believes it has crashed. Air Force SAR is notified, as is West Virginia State Police.
9:09 AM - NORAD places Langley AFB fighters on alert.
9:09 AM - Indianapolis ATC notifies the regional FAA center of the loss of Flight 77.
9:10 AM - American Airlines believes, incorrectly, that Flight 77 was the second plane to hit the WTC.
9:10 AM - American Airlines extends the ground stop nationwide.
9:10 AM - United orders nationwide ground stop.
9:10 AM - Flight 77 enters Washington’s FAA center airspace.
9:12 AM - Renee May calls her mother, Nancy May, in Las Vegas, and says American 77 has been hijacked. Nancy May alerts American Airlines of this call.
9:13 AM - Otis AFB F-15’s leave their holding pattern.
9:16 AM - Continuing until 9:26 AM, Barbara Olson calls her husband and describes the hijacking.
9:19 AM - FAA’s New England office asks Cleveland ATC center to advise Delta 1989 to use extra cockpit security—the flight was not, in any event, a target of the hijackers.
9:19 AM - United flight dispatcher begins to warn 16 transcontinental flights: “Beware any cockpit intrusion—two a/c hit World Trade Center”.
9:20 AM - Indianapolis center, hearing of the other aircraft, reassesses its view that Flight 77 crashed.
9:21 AM - FAA Command Center, several field facilities, and American Airlines were looking for Flight 77.
9:21 AM - NEADS receives a report from Boston Center about American 11 (long since crashed) saying it was headed to Washington.
9:21 AM - FAA tells Dulles to look for Flight 77.
9:23 AM - United warning transmitted to United 93.
9:23 AM - NEADS scrambles Langley AFB aircraft.
9:24 AM - United 93 receives its warning.
9:24 AM - FAA regional center passes to FAA HQ the loss of Flight 77 from radar.
9:24 AM - Langley AFB fighters ordered to take off.
9:25 AM - Combat Air Patrol (CAP) is established over New York City.
9:25 AM - FAA knows two aircraft hit the WTC and Flight 77 was lost.
9:26 AM - United 93 flight crew is confused by message and requests confirmation.
9:28 AM - Hijackers begin their takeover of Flight 93.
9:29 AM - The autopilot on American 77 is disengaged.
9:30 AM - Langley AFB aircraft take off.
9:32 AM - Dulles Terminal Radar Approach Control reports a “primary radar target tracking eastbound at a high rate of speed.”
9:32 AM - Hijackers make an announcement to Flight 93 passengers. Hijackers reset Flight 93’s autopilot to head east.
9:32 AM - Reagan National controllers vector an unarmed National Guard C-130 aircraft to follow Flight 77. It would later report the crash into the Pentagon.
9:34 AM - Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport reports a plane heading in the diretion of the White House. The hijackers are throttling the plane, now at 2,200 feet, to maximum power.
9:34 AM - Herndon command center relays info on Flight 93 to FAA HQ.
9:34 AM - Cleveland notes that Flight 93 is climbing (it would continue to do so until 40,700 feet, at 9:38 AM).
9:34 AM - Continuing until 10:08 AM, FAA Command Center provides updates to Acting Deputy Administrator Monte Belger at FAA headquarters. 9:36 AM - Boston Center tells NEADS about an unidentified aircraft closing on Washington.
9:36 AM - Langley fighters ordered to Washington.
9:36 AM - Cleveland indicates it is still tracking Flight 93.
9:38 AM - American 77 strikes the Pentagon.
9:39 AM - FAA Cleveland ATC center overhears an announcement on Flight 93 about a bomb on board and that passengers should remain seated.
9:41 AM - Boston Center incorrectly identifies Delta 1989 as a possible hijack. (NEADS would learn this was incorrect.)
9:42 AM - FAA learns a plane hit the Pentagon.
9:42 - FAA CLOSES AMERICAN AIR SPACE—ORDERS ALL PLANES TO LAND AT NEAREST AIRPORT
9:57 AM - Passengers on Flight 93 revolt.
9:59 AM - Jarrah (a hijacker) tells another hijacker to block the cockpit door.

10:00 AM - Jarrah pitches Flight 93 up and down to disrupt the revolt.
10:01 AM - Hijackers decide to down Flight 93.
10:02 AM - Flight 93 strikes the ground in Shanksvil

Ah, there are a few times I wish I ad cable/satellite. As is the TV is rarely on & the last time it was on was Sunday to watch my Browns play a disastrous game. :-(

Islam is extreme. The entire history of Islam, btw, is full of the constant re-conquering of Islamic countries that have made the mistake of growing more “moderate” - by other, more orthodox “extreme” Muslims.

If you’re a guy and a reasonably well-off American, traveling in Islamic countries is probably fairly painless. But living in an Islamic society would be an entirely different matter, and that is what they want to impose on all of us.

Does this mean it’s the first thing that every Muslim thinks about when he wakes up in the morning? Of course not. But enough do, and they have orthodox Islam on their side, which is what makes them so dangerous. Converts are dangerous because they haven’t gotten lax yet - and the cult in its pure form is nothing but a ruthless system of political and social domination.

At work that day, they told us get back to work, ignore it, it doesn’t concern you.

My husband’s relative [Canfield Boone] was killed in the Pentagon.

I can never forget that day. Thank you for posting this.

Wow, the images are seared into the memory of every patriot in this country and thanks so much for everyone who has posted in here.

I have to say, I watched the first few minutes of the YouTube link and became so enraged I had to turn it off. The thought that many in this country just want to sweep the whole thing under the rug, that many elected officials are using the war on terror for political advantage with no real concern for the safety of the people. Well, it makes my blood boil so hot, I have to simply catch my breath and remind myself there are laws against what I would like to do.

Someone talked about the historical perspective of this war against Islam, how it dates back over 1,400 years. That now, it’s only rearing it’s ugly head because they have accumulated the resources to reignite this centuries old Holy war.

So the West must face the reality that once again, we are going to lose more people on our side and perhaps millions of innocent people on the other side will have to die, as we cull the savage herd, because of the actions of a small number of religious fanatics.

Maybe we get lucky and secure the West by small attacks against terrorist cells, by killing as many of these nut-cases as possible and leaving the rest of the Muslims alone. Or maybe we just have have to kill millions to secure our safety.

That’s if we even have the will to fight on that scale. But when I look at these reminders of 9-11, I realize the enemy has brought this upon themselves and if we have to kill a lot of people, well they threatened us and we had to eliminate that threat.
