Gen. Petraeus' report to Congress
(Excerpt) Read more at foxnews.com ...
Generals Lantos and Skelton are going to tell General Petraeus how to run a war, and they cannot even run a hearing room adequately.
Yeah, I think I just heard someone say, "We need to send over a car to Bill & Hill's house to pick up Osam..uh...I mean their house guest for his speech."
Prediction:
The remaining Code Pinkos and other freaks are going to stagger their interruptions every 5 minutes or so, in order to create the maximum disruption, causing Chairman Ike to clear to room and restart the hearing in some other room without an audience, as he has already muttered he might do.
Petreaus has written testomy himself -
I really thought I heard that.....I’ll have to listen again, but it sure sounded like the F bomb to me
General’s finally up!! Shhhhh...the objectives of the surge are being met!! WOOOHOOOO!!!! Progress being made!
Those two aren’t fit to hold the General’s beret.
Absolutely absurd that Lantos spent half an hour telling the General that he doesn’t believe his comments...before he even knows what the report is.
What if Petraeus says this whole Iraq thing is an unwinnable war? Lantos should then advocate a troop surge of 100,000 since he is determined to do the opposite.
As I type, here goes the General.
Here we go.
He says that he wrote it himself, it comes from no one else.
Measures are being met.
Acheiving progress, uneven, number of incidents lowest in the last two weeks. Significant blows have been made to Al Qaeda.
I’ve got to run. I’ll get back to thread later. Petraeus up now. I’ll listen on XM. God bless all!
woohoo!!!
Duncan looks great today and he should be our next President.
He made me proud!
Is it just me or does Skelton look like a toad?
Petraeus is up. Crunch time!
This man, General Petraeus, is disciplined... kept his cool throughout. And, he knows, most in the room cannot comprehend what he does or what he has to say; but, he’s gotta do it.
I really love this man.
Yes sir.
Yeah what i meant is that he is the invisible candidate not top tier... I think until today that is.... I called his office and told them that I was very grateful that he spoke up for the General today and that I felt proud to be a Republican again... everyone here should call and support him
ditto ;o)
Most significant change—tribes changing allegiance against al-quaeda
Excellent opening. This is HIS statement, not Bush’s!
“This is my testimony-not cleared or shared with anyone”
The miltary objectives of surge are being met. Improvements uneven but overall incidents declinind-lowest since june 2006.
Coalition have dealt serious blows to Al Quida-we’ve taken away sanctuaries.
Capture head of iranian group and lebanon hezbuallah.
Iraqi security force grow and in general are standing and fighting and taking tough losses.
Most significant is tribes standing up to Al Quida-its speading to other areas.
