Hi, Kathy.
Al Jarreau! Well, does that bring back memories. I saw him years ago — amazing voice.
Pirates of the Caribbean was my favorite Disneyland ride (embarrassed to admit). Guess I’m an escapist.
Gut Shabbes.
Good evening to you LUV!
God bless our Heroes!
I saw that David is feeling better, glad to hear that.
Thank you. Just got a call from my MIL....it seems that the
hospital “froze” his insides prior to surgery more than
they shoulda. That’s causing him problems of them “waking up”
and he’s going to be in the hospital at least another week.
Bless his heart...he’s sooooo ready to go home and hug that
child...and his wife!
Interesting...I thought the eastern sky looked dark in my rearview mirror just now. (We were coming home from dinner)
There’s a flood advisory out for the other side of the San Pedro River Valley:
AT 653 PM MST...WEATHER RADAR INDICATED THAT THE STRONGEST STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG HIGHWAY 80...SOUTH OF TOMBSTONE. RADAR ESTIMATES THAT BETWEEN 0.75 INCHES AND 1.50 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN ALONG THE NORTHERN FOOTHILLS OF THE MULE MOUNTAINS. RAINFALL RUNOFF WILL CONTINUE TO DRAIN INTO WASHES...WITH LOW WATER CROSSINGS ALONG DAVIS ROAD BETWEEN TOMBSTONE AND MCNEAL LIKELY FILLED WITH RUNNING WATER.
MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
Oooooo...hope we get some of those remnants, Jinxy! We
are needing the rain now!
Yes, he’s a bit better. He’s still going to be in the
hospital for another week. Bless his heart.
The last 2 weeks and the week ahead have/are all been predicted for rain showers every day.....hasn’t happened for a week. I noticed your possible tropical storm or hurricane....lots of FReepers on the right coast. We will hope for just rain without high winds.
They’re headed your way.
I just checked radar, and it looks like Connie is getting some rain right now, too.
Wooohooo!
Thought I saw some clouds building in the west. We had a
beautiful sunset tonight.
Sounds like sage advise to me. Hope you and Sand are in for the night.
No telegraphing and of course.
Thank you, LCpl Michael Carter, for your service to America.
Prayers for your safety and success of mission.
Takes time for those guts to wake up...
It’s just part of gut surgery and you can’t rush it.
I’m betting he is chomping at the bit to go home.
LOL! Good evening, CH...you have a good set of favorite colors.
Sounds ugly. You stay safe...
I think he is finding that out the hard way. I am just
thankful that he had good doctors. He could have been
in very, very bad shape if they hadn’t operated when they
did! Frightens me to think of it.
He just wants to be home! I don’t blame him.
You’re absolutely right.
I wish more people would pay attention to what us locals know...
We’re in, and even if not, we know how bad these things can be.
I just wouldn’t want to be out on foot tonight, making my way north...I feel for those folks in that regard.
