SEE VIDEO HERE:
The videotape was made in the last four weeks, but the clips appear to be old, said Octavia Nasr, CNN's senior editor for Arab affairs. There is no indication of where it was shot, and CNN cannot verify its authenticity.
"We're aware of the tape," a government official, who didn't want to be identified, told CNN. The official agreed that the tape's content is not necessarily new.
"There has not been, over time, a one-to-one correlation between release of a tape and any significant operation or attack afterward," the official added.
Bin Laden, with a bodyguard standing directly behind him, is looking down slightly in the video, appearing to address an audience below, which is unseen. Watch the al Qaeda leader »
He says that the Prophet Mohammed wanted to be a martyr, and that is a worthy goal for every Muslim.
"So be alert, be wise and think. What is this status that the best of mankind wished for himself? He wished to be a martyr. He himself said, 'By him in whose hands my life is! I would love to attack and be martyred, then attack again and be martyred, then attack again and be martyred.'

Otherwise you're just a contemptible p'tak lacking in honor. Is that Arabic? Or Klingon?

In my humble opinion Bin Laden is not in Pakistan or Afghanistan. He is in Chechnya or Daghistan. Just a hunch I have, that is all. I don't think UBL would ever venture that far from his key support elements - Now, there are a number of high Mtn passes that are mostly unguarded bordering up with China (from the Stan/Pak border regions). A great place to seek sanctuary for extended periods throughout the year....

The terrorists websites and forums were buzzing for the last 2 weeks that a new video tape of Bin Laden should come out soon. I think many terrorists and their supporters are very disappointed right now that all what they got is an old footage of the master of terrorism. I would agree - Unless this portion of tape (with UBL) was a prearranged signal (qued code).....and allows for a fail safe (already known que by overseas AQ elements) regardless of if something should have happened to UBL while AQ operatives were in their final staging phases.
The next 7 to 21 days American's should be very observant and have a heighten SA of their surroundings....

You think he would have said some up to date to show he was currently alive. Otherwise, I’m not really buying it.

I heard few years back that Bin Laden may be indeed in the remote mountains near the Chinese borders and that may be a reason why he rarely makes a video tape or even an audio tape.

In my humble opinion Bin Laden is not in Pakistan or Afghanistan. He is in Chechnya or Daghistan. Just a hunch I have, that is all. I think there's a real good chance he's pushing up daisies (or ragweed or something). The propaganda wing of Al Qaeda must know the value of having him say something about current events to prove he's alive, and this production fails that test.

I read somewhere that the way we were able to warn Scotland of the impending airport attack (2 weeks ahead) is because we found 45 doctors here in the US that were planning the same mission.
I read a lot, what I read might not be true, but it always seems to connect.
This offensive may be what was supposed to trigger the cells we busted a few weeks ago. Hope so.
My personal worry is shopping malls.
