If I understand correctly, the south of the border immigraton problem at least, has been with us since at least the 80’s. So, in your opnion, what needs to be done?

Congratulations are in order for Dubya and his bi-partisan effort. Now Republicans and Dems hate him for this immigration bill.

There is nothing wrong with people becoming citizens. Correct. We have a legal process for people to become citizens...without being granted amnesty.....without jumping the line.....without illegally crossing our borders.

I don’t feel betrayed at all by Bush.
I do feel betrayed by all the hyperbole by border bots.
It is absurd.

A Border Fence was voted on and money approved. Only 2 miles have been built in 6 months.
Whats your next defense?

Do I have anything wrong here? YES!

I’ve always had a bad feeling about her. I think she is a liberal in Republican’s clothing. (She is for a “woman’s right to choose” which is liberalspeak for “anything goes.”) I wonder how much bad advice she has given him.

Actually, guys like Reid and Murtha are always going to be with us. They are they when you need someone to make a deal. Both Republicans and Democrats use them.
They'll always be someone like them ...'cause everyone likes a deal.
In Reid's case, the Federal government owns about 95% of the state, real estate wise, and he is in position to broker out what he can. Occasionally, a 'deal' falls into his lap, but then that's accepted.

Graham voted no? Guess that Goober is just one of us 'bigots' after all.

Whose side are you on, anyway? Kennedy and Bush's and all globalist, anti-US sovereignty types who lives in gated communities and mansions and either profit from illegal alien labor or remain untouched by the impacts.
They detest patriots who call for law enforcement on the border. They would rather believe foreign national drug dealers and lock up the Border Patrol.

I will NEVER support any Republican who supported this traitorous amnesty bill and will do what I can to work against them. This includes the President - a man who I voted for twice, bent over backwards to defend, and always gave the benefit of the doubt. I think I speak for more than just myself when I say that betrayal is an accurate word to describe what President Bush has done to his loyal voters, his party, and his country;
You speak for me and eloquently.

Let’s tear down the two miles of fence and have a big party on FR celebrating our victory over Shamnesty.
Don’t settle for any compromise.
Its all SHAMNESTY.
In fact, I think we should scrap the entire border patrol. Their not enforcing the border.

Did you even read the bill? If so, you would be glad it is defeated. The fact that you are chastising us says to me that you haven’t even read it. Quite frankly, you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Amen Bro. I emailed Senators endlessly. WE DID IT!! now the time is to follow up and run McCain out of this party. Don’t stop . This victory is awsome!!!!
To: lonestar67
Everyone on this thread celebrating the demise of this bill is pro amnesty, pro illegal immigration and a failed patriot.
The bill contained fence provisions, deportation procedures, and other general enforcement provisons.
This means that those celebrating the bill support Amnesty.
I think this is an entirely fair assessment of the motives of those posting on this thread. People like you are the reason I have this bumber sticker on the window of my truck:
