Here’s hoping that the U.S. follows suit and successfully elects a conservative Republican for President along with many other conservative politicians at every political level on November 4, 2008.

My USMC son was trained in part by French Foreign Legion troops in the Horn of Africa.
Many of our guys go there.

...they are all a bunch of cowards... Is it your opinion that the choice of Sarko over Royal was an act of cowardice?
To: Cincinna
Maybe we can move to France if Hillary becomes president. (j/k)

Love this and agree! Although it is good to have the frogs back as allies.

During Sarkozy’s victory speech, it was nice to hear the crowd cheer when he mentioned the USA. You would not have heard cheering about the USA from Royal supporters if she had the opportunity to give an victory speech.

CNN International keeps stating that Sarkozy won by 53% to 47% for Royal, which is correct? Plus their faces look so glum with defeat!!!!! Congratulations to Mr. Sarkozy, job well done!!!!! I reside in New York, so I will watch the continuing coverage on CNN International and France 2. I am quite surprised that Fox, CNN and MSNBC are pretty silent on this. Thank you for the updates...../seoul62........

If Sarkozy is in line with Guiliani about terrorists, this would be a boon to both the French and to the WOT Allies. I don’t hold much hope for anything else from Old Europe.

Canada’s Martin attacked Bush and the US and was ousted by Harper. Shroeder bashed the US and was replaced by Merkel. Chirac screwed us over every chance he got and now is replaced by Sarko.
I blame Bush.

I dont see things changing with that percentage gap. A 9% gap these days is a landslide. With state of the art market research technologies being used by both sides, and politicians willing to take any position based on focus groups, 51% to 49% elections are the norm now. It's easy to get 50% market share, getting that last 1% is the hard part. Sarko did that 9 times over. It's an amazing accomplishment and clearly shows the progressive communists have gone too far.

Promoting a certain system of values is one thing. Deciding in advance to be unhappy with everything for the rest of your life is something else. Well said.
