Ladyinred has been diagnosed with lung cancer and it is bad. It has been there for some time with no symptoms. She has taken a couple of Chemo treatments but they will not be able to cure this. They hope to stop the growth for as long as possible.
Please also remember Chadsworth in your prayers, as he is taking this very hard.
In a note to me, ladyinred said ..... "I would appreciate your prayers of course, as that is all that can really help me."
As Chadsworth told me, the only thing that will make a difference is a miracle through the power of prayer.

ladyinred is one of the dearest people on this forum, and I cannot express what she meant to me, especially when I first joined this forum seven years ago.
I will be praying for and thinking of both of you, and pray that God will wrap you both in His loving arms as you go through this difficult time.

Thank you for the update. I’m still praying for them both. May Connie rest in our loving Father’s arms as she steps out into Eternity, and may those loving arms be wrapped around Tom to give him comfort and strength for the difficult days ahead.
(So glad you are here posing - OWF - but not glad that this apparently is LadyinRed’s time of leaving this world and entering real LIFE with a capital L.)
clovis_skeptic thank you for your updates and for being there with this family at this difficult, heart-tugging, emotionally and physically tiring time.
Thank you for posting that picture of LIR. Always faithful is how I describe her to others. Always faithful is our God for her - we know HE IS RIGHT THERE in that room, by her side, with her husband and loved ones, by His Holy Spirit’s presence. I pray that His angels are also there.
Today at church thinking and singing about our God’s faithfulness for us, to us....it is very humbling to remember what our precious Savior did for us, has done for us, and that He can ALWAYS be depended upon to fulfill His Words of promise to us.....there is no shadow of turning in Him. All the promises of God are Yea and Amen in Christ Jesus! How awesome is His love for us - for our beloved LIR, Connie who has inspired so many of us for so many years!....I thank our God that we can rest in His faithful LOVE, in His Life which He promised is OURS by and through Him, and for His provision for every single moment of our life - in this world and in the next.

What a sweet woman she must be.....I wish I knew her better.
Seems she’s touched a lot of lives. I love her smile! It says a lot about the kind of person she is. Prayers for her and her loving family.

Thank you for your update. I know this must be difficult for you. It’s hard for us who know her thru FR also. We obviously don’t know her as you do but we have gotten to know her thru correspondence, and we have a tie to her as well.
And I’m sure that you know when we say we are praying for her and her family, we really are.

I noticed that many were unaware that Connie is your sister. I was happy to see that you cleared that up. Your sister is loved by many FReepers.
I know this is a difficult time for you and your family.
I received an email from Tom last night. He gave me permission to post it.
