I just found something very curious (more like very suspicious) in the Comcast listings for Glenn Beck's "Anti-Global Warming" show of tonight. It looks like Comcast in the BayArea has 'deleted' the listing from their schedule, listing it as "To Be Announced". Note: this is only for today's show at 4&6pm (PDT). This also means that any listing so labeled cannot be recorded with your Comcast DVR. (there is not red button to click on to schedule to record). Also, Glenn's all important show today is the only program at CNN or HLN to be so designated and ONLY today's show is affected. Hmmmm. Anyone wanna guess just who at Comcast would want to 'delete' Glenn's listing for today? Uh, Someone in the alGore camp, maybe???? Any other Comcast customers in the BayArea experiencing the same 'deletion' from their listings?
I sent Glenn the link this thread.
Smile, everybody!!
;-)
link TO this thread.....
Grrrr....
Looks like strange things are afoot at the Circle-K, so to speak. Good find.
DirecTV has the same listing they always do for Glenn Beck’s show.
That does sound suspicious.
I have Brighthouse cable here in Florida and Glenn’s program is listed for this evening at 7:00 and 9:00 PM on their on-line TV guide. Will be looking forward to just where the program is canceled!
To a liberal, “freedom of speech” means being free from ever having to hear a conservative speak.
I just checked TVguide listings, and it’s listed on our cable listing on TVguide.com.
The show is also listed on comcast.net tv listing (non-digital) No program description, however.
Might be time to get DirectTV.
Glenn Beck Ping!
But here's what mediabistro.com said about the show:
Beck "Exposed" For A Second Time
Headline News is hoping to capture lightning in a bottle again, with a second "Exposed" special by Glenn Beck.
His first special, about "The Extremist Agenda" last November, brought Beck "his best ratings ever." He had "the #1 cable show in the demo for the night."
CNN is running another big ad campaign for "Exposed." The ad in the upper right is running on Drudge. "Climate of Fear" premieres Wednesday at 7pm.
It "aims to deflate what Beck perceives as the media hype surrounding global warming and to ask questions about the causes of a warmer planet and possible solutions,"
Rush mentioned the GW special on his show this afternoon.
I’m taking control of the remote tonight!
Yes, I suppose one could, but the few times I have tried (usually on C-SPAN weekends, for which Comcast doesn't always have proper full listings) have been more unsuccessful than not.
Anyway, I emailed NewsBusters as well to see if they know anything or would be willing to investigate further. Hopefully this thread will come to Glenn's attention and his staff can get to the bottom of this and just maybe provide an explanation.
Glenn Beck Tackles Global Warming Debate for Second ‘Exposed’ Special
Headline News’ Glenn Beck, the nightly topical talk show featuring radio and TV personality Glenn Beck, presents a special that aims to deflate what Beck perceives as the media hype surrounding global warming and to ask questions about the causes of a warmer planet and possible solutions. The hour-long special report, “Exposed: Climate of Fear,” airs during Beck’s Headline Prime program on Wednesday, May 2, at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. (ET).
“If you believe the mainstream media hype, you’d think that every time you drive your SUV, the Earth’s temperature rises six degrees,” Beck said. “The reality is that many respected climatologists have questions about both the problem and the solution. We should understand both positions more fully before committing to any solutions that could do more harm than good, both to our environment and our economy.”
During this special report, Glenn Beck questions the accuracy of Al Gore’s claims in the Oscar-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth of 20-foot sea level rises and the disastrous effects of increased carbon dioxide levels. The program examines the criticism some esteemed scientists, climatologists and academics have faced for even raising questions about the “scientific consensus.”
The special report also offers a look at the history of what Beck sees as the media hype involving the climate, recalling the “global cooling” scare of the mid-1970s and the transition to the latest round of warnings about global warming.
Finally, Glenn Beck considers solutions and examines the Kyoto Treaty, a current guiding principle for the nations of the world to fix the problem of global warming. Beck himself offers his own ideas suggesting innovation – not government regulation – is the answer to solving this problem.
Beck’s first “Exposed” special about Islamic extremism won the night on cable news and garnered the second highest ratings in the history of Headline Prime in the critical P25-54 demographic.
I would be calling them to cancel my cable if it were me.
Thanks. I’ve been waiting for this program since he announced it almost 2 months ago.
