We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?
The fact that we even have to defend right to life on this thread shows a weakness in the sense of right and wrong that has permeated the US.
I think that Fred will be the nominee and that his running mate probably will be one of the other contenders and that primary results will have a lot to do with it (if one of them is a “consistent second” they will probably get it) and if I had to guess that person would be Hunter or Romney.
Have freepers settled on a nickname for this thread yet? Because I kinda like your “Yellow Smoke & Bug Zapper” weekend.
Gee, I miss him. Wish he were here to give us a voice today.
In fact, I can't believe the MSM and Democratic leadership like Reid, Pelosi, Schumer & friends would have the cajones to act as they do today..if a lucid President Reagan were alive today.
Even Bill Clinton would probably run and hide.
Very well said! I couldn’t agree more!
There's a saying..."When you're in a hole-stop digging."
A thought...
What will everyone here say if it’s Fred/Rudy?
What would everyone say if Hunter endorses Rudy?
“Hey junior, too bad conservatives can’t win without ‘em.”
Hey cherry, that goes vice versa ya know.
My dad likes to tell me that one....
I love that rose pic....
Still waiting for your explanation as to how supporting Duncan Hunter has anything to do with your own personal abortion position.
“What would everyone say if Hunter endorses Rudy?”
That we now believe that mandatory futuristic transference of babies into other women’s wombs is the solution to abortion?
A wise man. :-)
I’ve been calling it the JR thread, but the Bug Zapper thread would be a good one...;)
I was just referring to the incubators sorry if it wasn’t clear.
He speaks from experience! LOL! I take after him in many ways...
Leaving his liberalism aside, I've seen nothing that would lead me to believe that Rudy would even consider the number two spot on the ticket. There's nothing wrong with that, some people are okay with it, others aren't.
What would everyone say if Hunter endorses Rudy?
The nominee is traditionally endorsed by other candidates, it's generally quite superficial and nobody puts much stock in it. Did you think McCain had suddenly "converted" when he endorsed Bush in 2000?
It’s actually much larger than you see here. If you open it in a new page, it’s huge. But I cut it down, to save everyone’s bandwidth.
