Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?

Maybe not. But I'm not looking for someone to preside over me ... I'm looking for someone to represent me. I doubt Giuliani will do that. You know, you ought to give him a look. FReepers have been talking up and down about Fred Thompson, but so far all I've seen of the guy leads me to believe that frustrated social conservatives are turning him into some sort of empty vessel to pour all of their hopes and dreams into. But what this country needs isn't a conservative die-hard as much as it does a real leader. Yeah, he's been divorced, and yeah he dressed up as a girl that one time, and yeah he's from (gasp!) New York City, but he's a real leader and I think that's what we need more than anything right now.

That was "suitable for framing". Thanks.
Careful boys. Last time three Southrons got to talking like this it turned into quite a mess. If anybody from the South Carolina legislature shows up with a general from Virginia, it's all over with.

You are comparing those things to deliberately marching in a parade with perverts?Actually, I consider what Dick Cheney did to be far worse. The way I was brought up if you touched the booze before you unloaded and cased your gun for the night, you were banned from camp.

Those are not things that are characteristic of someone who should be running the country. The ramifications are extensive. Nothing about being President or considering it should be taken lightly. There are appropriate and inappropriate behaviors...THAT was NOT appropriate for anyone seeking the status of President.I don't think that he was thinking of the presidency at the time, and in any event, dressing up and acting in a dumb skit hardly outweighs rescuing NYC from the trash heap.

Regardless the Candidate every straw poll he looses in should noted. Maybe the “Guiliani Sinking Straw Polls Thread”, and have it updated as needed :)

Come on man, I know you're a hunter, or at least a shooter. You know as well as I do that no one pulls that sort of dumb crap when they're sober.

The United States is not NYC. Other than once in a while on a dumpster, I don't see graffiti - anywhereWould you believe I've seen an increase lately over here in Marietta. As I cross Lower Roswell from Kipling Drive to turn on Harris Drive there is a small business in a house with a big tag on the side. I can't even read the letters. I've seen graffiti in a couple of other places too.

Baloney.
I’m sick of watching you Rooty Tooties feeling it necessary to pull everyone down to your level.
I guess not much about this thread hit home with you, did it.

A big part of what makes a man a leader is where he's going. If he can get folks to follow him in the wrong direction, he's not a great leader.
That's the point I was trying to make with my dissertation ... Rudy's heading in the wrong direction.
