Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

However, Thompson does have a powerful, “grandfatherly” tone that is a lot like Reagan’s.

You'll get no argument there. He pulls you in when he speaks.

If Hunter can just get name recognition...I agree. I'm hoping the debates on Thursday will garner him just that.

You’re right it’s not on their website, but I’m listening to Sean on the radio. He just said James Dobson and Mark Fuhrman. Also that the topic of Barak Obama’s pastor who believes we brought 9-11 on ourselves will be discussed, among other topics. I guess Dobson will be asked about Obama’s pastor and his church’s stated philosophy, and Furhman will be asked about the new investigative activity regarding Natalee Holloway.

Oh, so all that is what ‘conservative’ means. Thanks for explaining chump.

Those happen to be the words of the founder of this website. Wanna call him a chump?

Thanks for remembering. It was a great time. Never a grudge or carry-over. Give us a cuddle.

I'm not leaving, although I am sure that there are quite a few who wish I would. Someone needs to remain on this site who remembers how things were in 1998. I am one who does, and I will be here to remind people of how FR used to be, and how it wouldn't have been nearly as successful and famous if Howlin hadn't posted that thread about the ANG forms being suspicious, or if Hildy's dad hadn't done that great graphic about impeachment.

Anyway, I am not leaving, although I am splitting my posting between the two sites. If you can't find me here, I will be over there probably (except if I am in the garden or babysitting my grandchildren). Oh, I don't really support Guiliani, either, being more of a Romney type of person. I will, however, support whoever gets the nomination, even if it's McCain (whom I despise).

The only ones who care about the Sabres are Sabres fans. It would bore most everyone to tears.

Brief history, Buffalo post-humously *won* the Stanley Cup a few years ago after a multi-period overtime (the sun was coming up). The Stars were declared the winner on a questionable goal because everyone wanted to go home (basically) and later the decision was reversed. So it’s down in the books that Buffalo won, technically.

Last year most of their best players got injured JUST before the playoffs themselves, and so lost them.

There have been other close calls, too, but my son isn’t home yet so I’m lacking in details.

I think a lot of the problems that have accumulated over the last few years is folks personalizing this stuff too much. I read about some of the antics over at Clown Posse and wonder what the heck could possess someone to become that unhinged over an internet forum and the persons who post there.

I’m not trying to define conservatism, I’ve simply stated what I believe in and what I’d like FR to support and that I’m trying to attract like-minded people.

I don’t give a rip how you vote. That’s completely up to you. But trying to tear down the other candidate because other Republicans support him more than they support yours is dirty politics. It may be customary in politics, but it is dirty. Calling people a$$wipes because they disagree with you is also dirty politics. Trying to force your version of what the laws “should be,” not what they are, purges, etc., etc., THAT is what I mean by Torquemada tactics.
