We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?
He was certainly competent, and did better than a lot of fiscal liberals would do.
But I’m being told that I can’t support any other candidate but Rudy becuase the only thing that matters is being “strong on terror”.
And I see no evidence Rudy is any “stronger on terror” than other candidates.
For example, Dick Cheney has done more to fight terrorists than Rudy could ever hope to. John Ashcroft was a stalwart in the fight. We have several generals that have taken the fight seriously. We have people in congress that are actually casting votes on it. We have people who lost their jobs for supporting it, while Rudy was off not serving the party of the country, but rather running for president for 4 years while making millions in private practice.
I’m not discounting his competence, just his “specialness”.
I’m the first to attack Hunter and Thompson for not having real executive experience. I think experience is important.
But the rudy supporters can’t give me ONE example of an act he actually DID which fought terrorism.
He threw Arafat out of a theater. Well, so does the fat kid when you don’t have a ticket.
Don't put words in my mouth; I asked you if you were Anderson Cooper because you were acting like a girlie man with all your whining (what's new?).
To be as big a jerk as you are to others, you sure seem to be pretty sensitive when it's dished back at you.
The “facts” have been repeatedly refuted.
“Don’t put words in my mouth; I asked you if you were Anderson Cooper because you were acting like a girlie man with all your whining (what’s new?).”
Nice spin. Doesn’t change the truth though.
The repub nominee is still wide open. Sure Rudy has the lead but it’s early. I’m surprised that he dropped the ball on government funded abortions. Thompson or Romney could catch him. McCaine is too old and crotchety...I don’t think he has a chance despite the polls. If I’m right we need to We need to work together to make sure one of these guys wins. I don’t have all the answers but I’d like to work together to find them. These are Perls times FRiends.
These numbers show we need to roll up our sleeves work together and stop pretending all is well.
Nite all. http://www.rasmussenreports.com/Political%20Tracking/Issues/April%202007/CongressionalBallot.htm
Pro-abortion:
Ultimately he believes that it is a decision between a woman, her doctor, her family, and her God.
Pro-gay:
That's why he supports domestic partnerships that provide stability for committed partners in important legal and personal matters...
Anti-gun:
But Rudy understands that what works in New York doesn’t necessarily work in Mississippi or Montana.
So the 2A does not apply to big cities?
The truth is that I said I said it; you posted the link there for all the world to see; they can be the judge of what I said and what you said (Though some of them might want to know why so many of your posts were pulled).
You're aren't really cut out for this type of web site, I don't think; you trash and trash, but when somebody stands up to your bullying, you really take it personally.
And you seem to hold a grudge for YEARS. Petty.
Sheesh. They’re like lib trolls. Keep throwing up the same old crappy propaganda and then you’ve got to knock it all down again. After awhile you get tired of wasting time and pixels and go to the routine zot.
perls - perilous...darn spell check
I did not know that there was a ‘title’.
(I’m new, and I don’t even know the secret handshake yet.)
But none of us voted for Reagan when he was running for governor. Some weren’t alive then.
I voted for reagan in 1981, and he was quite the conservative. And he was able to convince a lot of independents and democrats that his philosophy, a conservative one, was best for the country.
And convinced, they came out and voted for him in droves.
I like that approach much better than the approach of rudy supproters, to find out all the stupid things the “average voter” believes, and pick a candidate that will best cater to their ignorance and stupidity.
I’d like a President who, when he speaks on an issue, says something I agree with, or at least something that does not turn my stomach.
ROFLMAO!
When Reagan changed from a Democrat to a Republican and pro choice to pro life, he was embraced.
I’m asking you to put up or shut up, please give me the quotes and his political statements that support your constant slurs.
No, apparently her “point” is that nobody agrees with a candidate 100% of the time.
A point which I think 100% of us already knew, so I’m not sure why she has to use Reagan’s mistake on abortion to make her point. Doesn’t she know a single politician in THIS century she could use to illustrate a universally known truth?
I’m sorry, peach, but I still feel like, despite your claim otherwise, that your reason for choosing REAGAN and ABORTION is not simply to illustrate that we don’t agree with candidates all the time. You chose REAGAN because he’s the “iconic conservative” and you chose ABORTION because it’s the issue people have the most trouble with Rudy about.
At least, that is my opinion.
Sounds like the way it should be done. Imagine that. Conservative positions attracting conservatives (even conservative leaning commonsense Democrats) and liberal positions repelling same. Who would’ve ever thunk it.
Hon, don’t have a hissy fit. You do know that Reagan signed what was then the most liberal abortion bill our country had ever seen, right? And gave us to pro abort judges.
And in management’s view, if you are at all pro choice, you’re an abortionist.
Note I did not say fiscal conservative, or tax-cutter.
I dare say if you asked 100 large corporations which man they would want running their business, they would all pick Bloomberg.
Business Week gave Bloomberg an award for one of the 5 best mayors for his financial management skills in 2005. As liberal as he is, the man knows money.
