We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?
I am not interested in picking a fight with anyone but the tendency to attach labels to any candidate we don’t like is troublesome. The word “socialism” has a well known definition and there is nothing that I know of that suggests that Mayor Guilani is a socialist based on his actions as a public servant in New York.
I wish that there were a Ronald Reagan out their to lead the conservatives but unfortunately I have not seen anyone who can fill his shoes. In the absence of perfect, we need to find good and get him elected. An economic conservative who is strong on defense is not a bad place to start. Truth be known, the President can’t do much about abortion, prayer in school, etc. other than appoint good Supreme Court Justices.
Thanks for clearing that up. However, Howlin is the administrator over there (or one of them anyway).
I think it is wideawake a web site created by an anti freeper. Just as Rush led to Air America, freerepublic seems to have led to a lot of vanity or boutique anti-freerepublic sites.
This is only two or three day old news for me so I am really not the best guy to ask, I had no idea that anti FR sites existed until this thread.
God, have I learned a lot on this thread.
MARKER
It's not just any life, either. It's HUMAN life. It doesn't grow into anything other than a human being. God designed us that way.
And if it's 'just a piece of tissue' -- then why do they get bothered when they see an ultrasound or an aborted fetus? Too disturbing even for their in-denial psyches? The abortion 'industry' is all about money, power and lifestyle convenience.
One of the most destructive and murderous lying myths being propagated today.
They do.
Now one of us needs to "do a Hildy" or "pull a Patrick Henry" and run away and start a new site where we can pimp and preen with people who agree with us.
Howlin has been banned—She won’t be back.
Why Johnny Ringo! You looked like somebody just walked over your grave!
Great Movie!

“You can push any candidate you wish, as long as he’s not a socialist backed NARAL abortionist loving, gay rights supporting, illegal alien supporting, gun grabbing, constitution trampling, individual rights trampling liberal.”
Worth repeating.
>>Then why do they keep their anti-FReeper thread private?
Thats a good point ...it makes me think this Bush administration is up to no good ...they may be worse than Nixon<<
I bet they have a secret handshake too...
The moral equivilent of, in 1860, saying, "Truth be known, the President cant do much about abortion, prayer in school, etc. slavery other than appoint good Supreme Court Justices."
Good.
Of course I do. I LOVE 'you' Christians...whatever your comment was supposed to mean.
They are a critical part of the Republican Party and we need their support to win elections.
Here is a clue. Many Christians put the command of scripture first in their lives. they will vote wherever God's laws are followed. If the Republicans find suddenly that they have lost the Christian vote as a whole, it is because they chose to gamble that Christians would place party priorities ahead of God's scripturally communicated priorities.
It doesn't really matter how much the social liberal part of the republican party chastises them - or how shrill, loud and unrelentingly it does so. The Christian vote doesn't answer to the republican party, And the consequences of their vote to the United States is far less important to many of them than whether or not they vote in accordance with their savior. God raises up nations, and lays them low. This isn't really complicated.
Go for it. But, I can easily make the case for what I posted.
Oh...ok...so it’s kind of like stalking?
Seems you feel that you’ve won something. Which, I suppose you have. Might I suggest that a gracious winner is more attractive than a taunting one?
