I'm offended. Let's burn down the coffee shop and behead those infidels. Oh wait . . . that's the religion of peace which does that. Guess we'll just call them jerks.

Trademarking graven images. Now I have heard everything.
Other churches are missing out on a real cash calf. Maybe they should start trademarking images of Jesus, Mary, Adam and Eve, Our Lady of _______ , the cross, etc.

I'll bet somebody uses this thread to bash Romney.

I heard the coffee shop owners looked into a hat with seeing stones in it and saw the design.

LOL
"It was a spoof," Beazer said. "It was meant to be fun."
Pi$$ off (the largest and most powerful?) denomination in the the State and then you wonder why a load brick falls on your head? Too funny.
I would say the tshirt is mean spirited, but then folks would accuse me of Christian sympathies.

It's amazing the lack of respect people demonstrate for other's religions these days, even to the extent of insulting other peoples religion to pimp their product. The owners of the coffee shop will probably have Jesus or Mary adorning their shirts in a less than favorable ad shortly.
These clowns would do pretty well in San Francisco, Ithaca, or Portland.

They could just change the angel. The angels in my religion love coffee.

They're fighting the use on the grounds that images of the "angel Moroni" are trademarked.
Good thing that they didn't claim copyright, because that would be moroni©.

Maybe those magic temple garments have prevented the Mormon from growing a thicker skin.

As comedian Emo Philips says, his Mormon father-in-law once spoke to him when Emo was drinking coffee and said "What good is caffeine?" And Emo said "Well, it keeps you from being Mormon."

Upset about coffee? I guess they haven't been in the beer section of the supermarket in the last couple of years.

Exactly. Angels are iconic and are not owned by the Mormon Church. Besides, didn't the Apostle Paul tell us not to worship angels? If we can slightly spoof Jonah by depicting him as a cucumber, who cares about an angel?
