I don't know about you, but I doubt the Christian conservatives throughout the red state farm belt and especially down in the South are going to cotton to a liberal New York Yankee coming down to try to clean up crime by taking their guns and bringing abortion and gay unions (gay marriage) into their families, schools and churches.
Freepers are the greatest people!
I don't care how he is called in Tel Aviv. I care about the fact that he is going to kick Arab asses, and bomb Iran back to the stone age.
Shinui is not a bad party, but it has been decimated as of late. I still prefer Likud.
My personal opinion, seems everybody has one,and I'm not as well versed or educated as some of you are,is here in Alabama,(South Central)people make up their minds pretty quick and a fella like Rudy (can't spell his last name yet)might get some talk for awhile, but in the end,he'll lose favor because of his stances,if he changes them that's even worse,,,we don't trust people who placate and patronize. We don't care if someone changes (sometimes it's good) ,people here don't like ,if I can be PI,liars.I could be wrong,I believe these folks would go with Hunter. You can't mess with their babies,guns,GOD,families,,ect..And a fella from NYC,who maybe did the city good, would get looked at awful hard in this country..
And no, I have ZERO respect for Netanyahu the younger. The man gives a great speech but has sh-t administrative skills. His father, however, was one hell of a historian.
No. Not a Messiah. And far from perfect.
But almost every Republican and other mainstream citizens who lived in NYC, pre and during Giuliani, know that the Liberal label is crap and that he is uniquely a political leader who makes a positive difference and impresses with real achievements and not just pandering words to the gullible.
The next President will deal with Earth shaking issues and the best we can hope for is that those challenges are met by a proven leader who faced the impossible, rose to the task and was more triumphant that anyone could have expected. Notwithstanding 9/11.

Newt can't elected state-wide in Georgia. He won't run for president.
Uhm, I don't think so. If you look who's incompetent, it's Olmert and that Arab Peretz. Sharon did a much better job IMO. And administrative skills aren't that important, it's important to have enough courage to send bombers to Iraq.
As for the point you keep repeating: when did Rudy ever steal a Likud-speech?
"Rudy is ever bit the authoritarian and statist as Hillary except he would be more effective."
I have to disagree with you there. I think Rudy loves America but he does not love the unborn enough to stand up for them.
Hillary and her friends OTOH revel in the infant holocaust--such as the MS Magazine 'proud to have had an abortion' recent campaign. And Hillary actively seeks to destroy America while Rudy doesn't.
Whoah!!! What a radical you turned out to be!!! I like it!!!
Rudy is not an original thinker, nor does he have the intellect or vision to handle the increasing challenges to Unipolarity, nor the "brutal REALISM" that is needed in the mideast and South/Southeast Asia. We don't have a Suharto or Mahatir to keep the local Muzzies in line via the Billy Club and Carrot approach as was the case in the 1970s through early 1990s.
We need a Theodore Roosevelt attitude and vision, with a Kissengerian/Macchiavellian intellect, not a tougher version of the neoWilsonianism currently pushed by Bush, Giuliani, and the Weekly Standard.
Okay, I'll bite...who do you have in mind?
Kissinger is an evil man, I won't put up with any of that. And I don't recognize any Wilson/Bushism in Rudy Giuliani, unfortunately. He doesn't seem committed to spreading democracy, even though he pays lip-service to the President's policies. That's a shame.
C'mon, zarf! That's toxic and you know it!!! (even non-burnt ones are toxic! Them sprouts are supposed ta be plowed back under immediately fer fertilizer!!!)
Gingrich comes fairly close, but has alot of baggage. I would love to see whoever comes to power hire someone like Fareed Zakaria at the NSA, balanced out by someone with a strong knowledge of military operations and counter insurgency at Defense (Franks? Sam Johnson maybe?). No more neo-Wilsonians like Wolfowitz or Rice.
Hey! That's none a yer business!! It's a secret ballot!!! (grin)
You're becoming hysterical!!! Take a valium and live a little!!!
I've been a Gingrich guy for years, but I think his time is passed...I think the 2008 election is going to be a loser for Republicans...but we need a strong VP candidate... the Republican "farm team" stinks...it's time to start recruiting...
