JERUSALEM - Hundreds of angry worshippers threw stones at police and scuffled with them on Friday in an eruption of outrage over contentious Israeli renovation work at a disputed holy site in Jerusalem's Old City.About 200 police streamed on to the hilltop compound known to Muslims as the Noble Sanctuary and to Jews as the Temple Mount, to try to quell the violence, police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said. Witnesses said police hurled stun grenades.
Several dozen protesters barricaded themselves inside the Al-Aqsa mosque at the compound, which is Islam's third-holiest site. The Protesters are angry about Israeli repair work on an earthen ramp leading to the hilltop compound, which they fear will damage the mosque.

Next time, spend a little extra cash and get frag grenades.
Islam's third-holiest site
anyone knows which one is forth and fifth
just curios

Seeing as though the Temple mount is holy because they say it's where mohammed tied up his horse and ascended to heaven for a night ride, the forth and fifth holiest place would be where he and the horse respectively last crapped.
AP bias strikes again! It's not a "disputed holy site" you freaking retards, it's THE WESTERN WALL. The renovation is nowhere near "al aksa."
Zechariah 14, folks. Read it.
FRmail me to be added or removed from this Judaic/pro-Israel/Russian Jewry ping list.
Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.
There's an old song from the 80's, "If I had a rocket launcher" that comes to mind with this news.

Yeah, yeah, I'm nitpicking...Sue me!
A Jewish man at the Western wall hiccups and the religion of peeves riots. A camel breaks wind while walking near the dome of the crock and the religion of peeves riots. The religion of peeves riots because it has nothing better to do or to contribute to earthly civilization.

Glad to see the responses here. Now if "refugee camp" could get as much recognition as the BS it is.
These people didnt just happen to show up there. There is someone in the background co-ordinating these moves.

Exactly. One of the other things that nobody ever discusses is the fact that Mohammed's hallucinations come thousands of years after the beginnings of Judaism and hundreds of years after Christianity. Mad Mo incorporated elements of both of them (a parody of Jewish ritual law and distorted references to various Christian figures) in his cult, and now Muslims are left trying to figure out a way to proclaim that they, Muslims, are actually the "original" holders of these trademarks.
A lot of what we are seeing with Muslims claiming the sites of other religions is an attempt to build up historical legitmacy for themselves. They don't have it and never will. They are a syncretist cult designed initially for the personal benefit of one man and his family and now for the benefit, primarily, of a few Arab families and a bunch of rag-tag "clergy."
Perhaps the Israeli government, in a move toward Social responsibility and International World Peach, should bring a few tonnes of hi-explosive to the Temple Mount, install it properly, and level it. Flat. Blow it to smithereens. Then do it again a few times, until the rubble jumps, until there is only a Temple Crater. Then, pave the whole lot with concrete, and turn it into downtown parking.
Nobody wins, nobody loses, everybody gets to park for free.
A similar approach could be used with Mecca and Medina.
Sounds like there United Again and i think we gave Fatah money
According to the MSM, practically any pile of sh*t qualifies as a sand-maggot holy site.
Amazing they can throw a fit about repair work 60 YARDS away. Convenient excuse alert. Speaking of the Temple Mount, related article -
