Please send up healing prayers for our own YaYa123. YaYa had surgery Tuesday and is now home from the hospital recovering. I know she would appreciate receiving your good thoughts and wishes for. (You know she won't be able to resist logging in from time to time.)

The sweet old couple who live behind us, nursing serious health problems of their own, lost their only daughter on November 7th, after a long, painful struggle with cancer.

The little old lady across the street went to hospital last night by ambulance, all alone, because my husband couldn't leave me, and her only daughter wouldn't break away from her holiday dinner party.

So just on my street alone, and without even considering how much your sweet notes mean to me, I count myself one lucky woman. Thank you all, more than you know for your words of encouragement, and friendship. I'm pretty scared but you are helping me keep my promise not to whine. Hey! I wanna be a stiff upper lipped steel magnolia about all this. You've already helped me...more than I know how to say.

Of all the luck, I had to go to work late yesterday afternoon and got back late enough to not even check in. Thank you Suzanne for the thread and thank you Springman for the ping. I saw your ping this morning about the same time YaYa decided to talk about the difficulty and pain of others rather than about herself.

You're a trooper, YaYa, get the rest you need, get well, and get back to us soonest. You've been missed.
