Six men were removed from an airplane at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Monday evening.
Sources say the men, of Middle Eastern ethnicity, behaved in a manner that caused the crew to be concerned.
The men were taken off the plane after it returned to the gate and are being questioned by authorities.
The remaining passengers were also taken off the flight, U.S. Airways flight 300, bound for Phoenix.
Those passengers are being re-screened for boarding.
There were 170 passengers on board the plane, which is a Boeing 757.

It sounds like they wanted a "religious conference" with their child molester prophet.
Star Tribune checks in with a teeny, tiny headline, well down the page.
Nothing new.
Thanks for checking out the other media sites, Cindy...
Busy night for me, I've been trying to keep up and prepare for the onslaught of relatives, along with an old girlfriend, this week/weekend......
Have a great weekend.
This stuff will be here on the internet waiting for you to read when you're ready.
"six"
Good catch.
Thanks.
May be a coincidence, but duly noted.
Or more improperly "papered" Air Marshals.

ALLSTATE SUGAR BOWL, in the Superdome in New Orleans on Wednesday, Jan. 3 (7:30 PM ET).
You are aware that India has the third largest Muslim population in the world, are you not? Also, the Brits have a terror suspect in custody who is Indian, a convert to radical Islam from Hinduism.
I was reminded of that incident as well. Quite possibly another "recon" job to test the reactions of the passengers and crew. I'm sure they'll be some CAIR reps around to protest their "mistreatment".
Bump...thanks.
See the article linked in post 132
It does miss the fact that an Arabic speaker overheard them and alerted authorities. It was not a complaint about misunderstood prayers
IHT:
MINNEAPOLIS: Six Muslim imams were removed from a US Airways flight at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and questioned by police for several hours before being released, a leader of the group said.
The six Muslim scholars were returning from a conference in Minneapolis of the North American Imams Federation, said Shahin, president of the group. Five of them were from the Phoenix-Tempe area, while one was from Bakersfield, California, he said.
Three of them stood and said their normal evening prayers together on the plane...
Thank you so much for this update ButThreeLeftsDo.

As someone else pointed out - Phoenix was the destination of the guy stopped with $79k and nuclear info on his laptop. Something going on in AZ we should know of?
Isn't 6:30PM a wee bit late for imammian evening prayer?
