Not exactly, since people who do NOT vote never get tallied in the exit polls.
But they don't show up in the "real" polls, either ;-)
Just buzz I've picked up: not rigorous.

The social right got their teeth kicked in. I guess everyone is reading into this debacle what they want to ... but I don't see how you can conclude this had anything to do with the social right.
Republicans of all stripes got their teeth kicked in.

Yes, I blame the Evangelicals in part. Are they above reproach?

Oh, I'm more than READY for it; it is YOU who aren't! Stop looking to fight with me because I won't take this defeat and surrender. Why not spend your energies fighting with a Democrat and not with your friends?

Bush will likely nominate Alberto Gonzales who despite what a lot of people here think, has a pretty good record from the Texas Supreme Court of voting more originalist than liberal.

Agreed - losing Senate and House is a nightmare. You don't just erase the effect of that in two years.

I was wondering about that. I thought they only had to be POSTMARKED by today, not delivered.

BTTT!
Schiavo, Harriet Miers, Dubai ports, immigration, etc--all concerns of the fundamentalist crowd, with people like Malkin, Limbaugh, Coulter, Levin and Vannity pandering to them daily, yearly.
Armey and Danforth have been two of the only Republicans I know of willing to oppose the Christian idiots publicly, and they've been called every name in the book for it. Hopefully the GOP leadership will get some clues. For starters, they need to install some new pundits, because the current crop has been useless.

Talk to a liberal and they'll tell you the media is owned by Big Business that backed the Republicans. That's only because the MSN isn't flashing big, wqving bar & sickle flags and running replays of old Stalin speeches.

I hope so, too. The last thing we need is to take to helicopters, leaving those poor people at the mercy of gangsters.
Does remember what happened to the Vietnamese people after the fall the Saigon? Remember the boat people. Remember the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia.
