I just wanted to let you, and all the wonderful people on this forum that my mother considered her friends, Kattracks, passed away yesterday afternoon. She died peacfully, with her family at her bedside. If you knew my mother, you knew how concerned she was with the welfare of others. At one point in the afternoon, we were all gathered at her bed, reminiscing about her,the good times, and all the good things she had done for others. It was as if she had waited for this moment, when she knew that her loved ones were going to be alright, that she was able to let go, and pass into the care of God. To all that knew her, be rest assured that she is waching over you from Heaven. That is just the way my mother was. She always put the welfare of others ahead of her own.
Everytime my brother, father, or I would leave the house, my mother’s last words to us was “Be Careful”. I asked her one day why she always said this to us. She explained to me that in that one phrase was wrapped up all the prayers, concerns, and love that she had for us, but to explain it all to us as we walked out the door would take too long, so she would just say “Be careful”. I’m glad I asked her what she meant, because from that day on, and everytime she said it since then, I understood who, and what, my mother was.

Kattracks has asked me to begin a prayer thread for her, the hardest thing I have ever been asked to do.
She has had a very frightening finding on a medical exam that is not confirmed and may be a false alarm, but which requires all of us to uplift her to Almighty God asking for His mercy to spare her life or to give her and us the strength and faith to walk the path He has chosen for her.
More information than that I am not at liberty to disclose.
Please ping everyone you know who can pray for kattracks, who was long a moderator on FR and now is the Fairy Godmother of the Merry Band of Patriots.

It's rather startling how He answers prayers, from the truly serious to the common everyday and silly needs. It's like the goose that laid the golden egg. I try hard not to get too greedy about what I ask for so as not to wear out my welcome.
LOL, take it from one who knows, who, if any man were charged with your words above would have to raise her hand: We can never wear out our welcome at God's Throne, for He never tires of gazing into the face of His Beloved Son Jesus, our Christ, Who indwells us.
I pray for everything, from (yes) parking spots to healings, from my cats to my coworkers! It's all small stuff to Him, after all, and He knows our needs even before we ask, and yet desires that we ask, so that we know (acknowledge, become aware of) our great need for Him and His Provision, know Him personally as Our Father, and bring glory to His Son in Whose Name we come, because the Son Glorified Glorifies the Father. He wants to be known, and to be given the Glory due Him, and He is known greatly and glorified greatly by His Name, Father, Giver of Good and Perfect Gifts. Amen.
He is giving good all day and all night long without receiving Glory for it, and this is a great sin on man's part. Therefore it is my firm belief that the more we ask of Him on any and through all occasions - what looks 'big' or looks 'small' to our eyes is not the point - and the more we thank Him for what we have received, whether we specifically asked for it or not, the greater amount of His Glory He reveals to, in, and through us, and the more we delight to participate in His Works on earth.

Our Father loves us dearly because we come to Him as His children, and that is what we are when we are Christians. To say that He is "too busy" for us or for our 'little' needs is to make Him less than God. To say that He could ever tire of our face or voice or needs would be to say that He is less than Love. God is Love; in Him is no darkness whatsoever; He is not at all a man and we do a grave injustice to ourselves to imagine Him to be as we are, for our vain imaginings change Him not, but a cloud on our perspective veils Him to our sight, and that to us is loss. Everyone - please pray for our Dear FRiend Kattracks. According to her son received via AM Mail, “after an exhaustive effort by her attending doctors, she has slipped into a near comatose situation, and her passing seems iminent within days, if not hours.”
Kattracks is a longtime supporter and FRiend of FR. She has been here from the start and one of the main reasons FR is the forum that it is.

I knew of some problems...I didn’t know that it was so bad.
I’ll say the prayer that I”ve said for my daddy for the last 12 years...
Lord, make it the “easiest” passing possible.
The Lord will be with her...
I’m just jumping in here late... What the heck happened? I remember kattracks (along with johnhuang2) posting EVERYTHING on FR from the hours of 10PM-3AM when I started here 7 years ago. I hope the diagnosis is wrong, and we see her name here for years to come.
