Yes, always support a Republican over a democrat. However if you like weakened national defense, higher taxes, more of your hard earned money given away to people who don't work, etc.........vote for the dims.

BTW, a belated welcome to FR, I see you just joined us this month.

How do you know a Democrat Politician is lying? Their lips are moving.

Funny thing about Democrats, they tell the usual suspects what they want to hear on any single hot button issue and then go to DC and do exactly the opposed.

But this is usual for the Always Angry, unless they get throughly politically reamed by a Democrat every 4 to 6 years, they forget way it is utter idiocy to trust a Democrat on anything. Then there is the other little matter the Always Angry ignore. You are not just electing this or that Democrat, you are putting in charge of the Congress or the Legislature ALL the Democrats. THIS one Dim may be ok, but what about the ones who will chair the committees and head up the offices if this one gets elected?

If you're a single issue voter, then vote your conscience, or stay home.

If you stay home, though, just remember to shut your yap until the next election, because you have no right to complain.

Never happen where I vote but if it means having to vote for, or give the election to, a Democrat of any stripe, sorry. Although gun freedoms are very important to me, there are just too many other issues to consider than any single one.

The time to get rid of these RINOS are during the primaries
not just before the election.

"Do anti-x legislators deserve support just because they're Republican?"

No, but it's not that simple.

You need to vote to maximize the chances of what you want, and to minimize the chances of what you don't.

In most cases (not all), electing the Republican will optimize your outcomes.

Counter examples: Chaffee (R-RI). He's an enemy. When he loses, we should celebrate.

Sometimes a lunchbucket Democrat would be better than a country-club RINO.

But in general, a party-supported candidate who is safely tucked within the GOP House or Senate caucus will do less harm than a communist running on the RAT line.

Your problem with gun laws (and I agree they are both useless and anti-Constitutional, a rare twofer) is not the existence of RINOs but the fact that not enough of our fellow citizens agree with you.

Work on that.

Support in terms of endorsements from gun rights orgs should be given on the basis of the gun issue alone, regardless of party.

Never... EVER vote Democrat. Especially these days with the outright Socialism expressed by a majority of that party.

However, don't just automatically pull the lever for "liberal" anti-Rights RINO's either. Vote Third party in those cases.

If the RINOs who are anti-gun learn that they can't win more votes by pandering to the left, maybe some RINOs will be deterred. We might lose a few seats, but we might stem this ridiculous tide of unprincipled RINOs.

It is better that a few RINOs LOSE, even to communists, if that means that we get Republican candidates who have real principles.

Kind of like spanking your kids. Even the ones you don't spank will get the message.

I understand for politics sake, the NRA has to reward pro-gun politicians so they can eventually take over the dem party.

That doesn't mean I have to. $crew 'em.

The answer is yes in the general election. In fact, not only should you vote for the rino, you should convince others around you to vote for them too.

We MUST not lose the house or the senate.

The Republicans piss me off these days. But I can't see voting for a Democrat. They'll drive us to socialism and economic ruin twice as fast as the Republicans will. I'd rather take my time on that ride.

If you vote for the democrat, and it changes the majority party in the House Of Reps., just remember who will be in charge:
Nancy Pelosi - Speaker-Nothing more need be said.
John Conyers - Judiciary - a true psycho who has promised to bring impeachment charges and a friend of Fidel.
Charlie Wrangell - an extreme left-wing democrat nut from Brooklyn, he will get to chair the Ways and Means Committee.
Henry Waxman - another nut - head of Gov't Reform - one useless investigation after another.
Jane Harman - Intelligence Committee - wants to go back to the 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act - now there's a step forward.(sarc)

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. If someone does not support the 2nd amendment they are a RINO at best.... It is a line in the sand that tells you what they think of YOU.
