So the socialists decide where the middle is and anything to the right of that is considered so "extreme" that a country loses its vote just for compromising with those "extremists"? Really deplorable!

Can't the Slovak party join another European Party? All I see here is that the Party of European Socialists kicked out one of its members for not being Socialist enough - which is their right. It is like the Center-Right European Party kicking out Chirac's Party - which they should - for not being conservative enough.
Or am I missing something?
