MoJo, thank you so much for the update. Please convey to Tonk that there are thousands of Freepers who are praying for his complete recovery - he is a hero and a national treasure.
I showed Tonk's homepage to Mr. Inspectorette, and he was in awe of his accommplishments.

Thank you for the update. Tonk is one of the greatest Freepers. I hope his recovery and road ahead is a little easier knowing how much he is appreciated.

He's clearly in my prayers. Years ago I drove an ambulance for a living and your description sounds pretty solid to me, but also very hopeful given the comment about his conversation with his business partner. I lost my mother to a stroke just over a year ago and it was a very tough time.
One piece of advice that I learned really can make a difference is that the folks involved besides the person at the center of this sort of thing, must make sure they're taking care of themselves and each other. You get family and friends who burn themselves out under these sorts of circumstances early on and later, when they are really needed as things really get tough, they're in no condition to be of help. For very practical reasons make sure that you and all involved are taking care of themselves, getting enough rest, just getting away from the pressure for some down time. Everyone involved is needed too much (and are too precious themselves) to not be available because they're down for some reason.
