Rush reports that a Cessna has been reported as crashing into (at least one) apartment complex in NYC Mannhattan's upper east side - on East 71st Street.

If the plane was on a sightseeing trip, it would travel around Manhattan over the East River. Good point. It could be that a novice pilot screwed up while taking a sightseeing tour over Central Park.

Article is remembering the July 28, 1945 Army Air Corps B-25 bomber that crashed into Empire State Building.....
Report starts off with this first sentence:
The last time a plane crashed into a New York City skyscraper was July 28, 1945. A U.S. bomber flying through thick fog at about 200 mph crashed into the Empire State Building, one of the most recognized structures in the world.

You're exactly right. All these posts that "It sounds like terrorism, must be a Muslim, who was flying the plane?..." etc. And now we find out the plane is registered to Corey Lidle. I didn't know Lidle was an Al-Quaeda operative.
