Here's the South Korean seismogram from today:
There was a seismic event. Note, however, that it lasts for several minutes (nukes are over pretty fast, in comparison).

Now N. Korea itself says it conducted a successful test.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for something to show up on that map - outside the US, the USGS doesn't bother to plot quakes as small as 3.5.

Iran will be next...then what? War is coming. Not the tit for tat Iraq and Afghanistan kind. Serious war. Draft et. al.. Kim will now try to blackmail South Korea to join the North and become one.

Hit them now!
They don't have the ability to reach American soil. The US troop footprint in the RoK is low and can be dispersed.
Our majority - and taking down that regime - is worth Seoul.

False Alarm. It was Kim Jung Il being ill with gastritus. Apparently he broke wind so viciously that the concussion caused a Kim Chi scented fog to permeate the presidential palace, setting of gas alarms and creating earth tremors that made wierd readings on the world's seizmometers.
The Seismologists don't know what to make of it, thus the paucity of reports from the MSM Slimes who fear that the Dems have just lost the house on a gaseous security issue.
THIS IS GOOD NEWS.

Good point - I don't follow the USGS closely. It might not show up if you're right.

A new world order is upon us...
Asia will have to arm itself and the Middle East is going to do the same.
Dark days ahead...

Conveniently, we're well prepared with a lot of people with extensive experience in doing just that.
To: Ragnar Danneskjold
If NK peformed a test, Iran did as well in proxy. They use the same technology. Iran gets free information about their own technology without having to face the consequences of a test on their own soil.

Is there any way to determine the yield of the blast from the seismograph?
