I must be slow or exhausted after a long day, but did you drive Ann Richards or someone named JC Penney?

LOL-- I drove Ann. --- She was a board member for JC Penney Co. after she lost to Bush. Vernon Jordan was too (Clinton's Lawyer and friend).

Ann Richards didn't think the public should be able to carry concealed handguns. This is after a horrible massacre at a Lubby's cafeteria in which one of the victims lost her parents and testified how a CCW law could have saved their lives.
Richards not only worked furiously against the Bill, she didn't even want the voters to have a referendum on it.
I want you to understand while she was in your opinion a fantastic governor, she didn't mind defenceless victims of murder. That's why she lost the election to George Bush. That's why he was nominated for the presidency. That's why gore is relatively unemployed now.
RIP Anne, you and the rest of the libs helped us more than you will ever know.

"Never liked her politics.
Always admired her cojones."
Amen!
Rest in peace, Ann Richards. The world has lost a real one-of-a-kind, but Texan through and through.

Yep, funny is funny. She deadpanned that line like a pro.

Toally agree with every word you said, Veronica. I saw this first hand when my ex father-in-law died. Most anyone that knew him while he was alive, knew him to be mean, mean despicable man, and yet when he died, many of these same people wailed and cried and carried on about how much he would be missed. My feelings then and now, he was a sonofab**** while he was alive...he was a sonofab**** when he died. Death does not change the life lived.I don't know why some feel compelled to make saints out of people merely because they die.

If you don't have anything positive to say about the dead, then you should keep your mouth shut. Sometimes silence is the best thing.Or say what I say when a prominent lefty dies..."S/he was a worthy adversary."

Thank you so much for finding those threads for me! No wonder I missed them - "woman in limo with jfk dies" or something like that.
Just glad I could say something on there. 'Preciate it.

That's almost word for word one of the things Dubya and Laura said in their statement about her today.

Yes she did say: "Poor George. He cain't he'p it. He was born with a silver foot in his mouth."
I wrote a variant for Clinton: "Poor Bill. He cain't he'p it. He was born with a forked tongue in his mouth."
