I didn't hear if anyone was planning for a live thread of the film tonight. Just in case anyone wants to start early. Some in Australia already have seen part 1. Part 1 airs tonight at 8pm Eastern Time on ABC.

I have been thinking about why ABC would have even made this movie. They had to know that the Clinton Machine would scream to high heaven. Others on FR have posted the idea that this is directly influenced by the infighting within the Dem Party. Could this be a way to damage Hillary and keep her off the ticket in '08? Paving the way for 1) A "true" antiwar candidate? or 2) A "moderate" that might actually have a shot at the WH? (...in their opinion, of course...)

In addition to those points, the RATS did nothing but object and obstruct President Bush's cabinet nominations, delaying confirmations which had to tie up the WH and administration's time a LOT in those early months. Remember the screaming about the Ashcroft nomination? How about Gail Norton, Sec. of Interior?

Point is, in the short 8 months that the President was in office prior to 9-11 the RAT party $hits were thwarting every attempt at getting a new cabinet up and running.

And I do mean $hits.

I think only if the DNC group actually "commits" an act against them.....Then the threat can be used as prof it was intentional not just a coincidence.
