BODIES of extinct Ice Age mammals, such as woolly mammoths, that have been frozen in permafrost for thousands of years may contain viable sperm that could be used to bring them back from the dead, scientists said yesterday.
Research has indicated that mammalian sperm can survive being frozen for much longer than was previously thought, suggesting that it could potentially be recovered from species that have died out.
Several well-preserved mammoth carcasses have been found in the permafrost of Siberia, and scientists estimate that there could be millions more.
Last year a Canadian team demonstrated that it was possible to extract DNA from the specimens, and announced the sequencing of about 1 per cent of the genome of a mammoth that died about 27,000 years ago.

I took comparative anatomy almost twenty-five years ago. I don't recall anyone saying any of those things. Please list the citaions of where ANYONE has said anything about large mammalian existance billions of years ago.

Will these clones have any natural immunity to AIDS... That would depend on their sexual behaviors and preferences... as long as they stick to the traditional way, they'll be fine...

First evolutionist said that the mammoth has been extinct for billions of years, then it was millions of years and now it is but 27,000 years. Please identify a credible source where a scientist has claimed mammoths have been extinct for billions or millions of years.
Let me save you the trouble. You cannot. In fact, even the present article does not claim they have been extinct for 27,000 years. It says the particular mammoth carcass they are discussing has been dead for 27,000 years.
Is it possible that if you learned to read for comprehension, you would not be so confused?

OK...but for what purpose? Is there a big demand for Mammoths out there?Yes - they apparently taste like chicken.

Extinct mammoth DNA decoded
By Helen Briggs
BBC News science reporterette
Mammoths became extinct in the last few thousand years ago.
A few, isn't that three? Even the rabid evolutionist does not deny that man walked the earth for more than 3,000 years. So man and mammoth walked the earth together, wow, Dawin must be rolling over in his grave.
Well enough fun, got to go to work.

Wooly mammoths have been extinct for 0.02 picoseconds.

It says the particular mammoth carcass they are discussing has been dead for 27,000 years. The wife and I visited the mammoth dig site in SE Wyoming two years ago. Interesting place. Apparently, it was a wallow hole for both Columbian and Woolly mammoths, but only for the boys. Of the 50 carcases or so found at the site, none are female. As I recall, the tour guide said the last mammoths roamed the earth about 12,000 years ago.

No, that was just Rosie O'Donnell. People make that mistake all the time.
