My girlfriend's nephew, Justin, 15, was severely injured in a fall from over 30ft Saturday night in Ennis TX, near Dallas.
I'm trying to find out more details, but I know he is in Dallas Parkland Hospital in ICU with substantial head trauma and other serious injuries.
He is on a respirator and not conscious yet, but he has shown some leg and hand movement so he didn't suffer any serious spinal injuries.
He also had a ruptured spleen; doctor's had to operate yesterday to stop the hemorrhaging, but the good thing is he won't lose it.
Any prayers or moral support here would be greatly appreciated, things are very touch and go right now I so hope he pulls through this and can make a complete recovery, though it may be long and difficult.
I'm going to be out on the road all day today, so I won't be able to check back until later this afternoon/ evening. I hope to get an update from her on his condition, and more details as to what happened.
Poor guy on the long hospital stay, but good news none the less. Continued prayers.
Great news !!!
prayer bump
Glad to hear Justin continues to do well. Thanks for letting us know!
The Lord is so good. So happy for this precious young man and his family.
Thank You for Your faithfulness in putting Your healing hand on this young man. We pray for your continued touch on his body, and his mind, to fully recover from his fall.
Praise You forever and ever, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
Sorry to jump in so late, but I'm still trying to catch up on all the pings I got while on vacation.
Glad to see he's on his way to recovery. I'll be praying for a full recovery. Looks like there's been some powerful prayers going up.
I'm going to post an update this evening..(mostly positive), so I can bring everyone up to date on Justin's progress.
I just wanted to post a little update from Justin's aunt. A good way to start the new week..
"He is doing sooo good. We had some good conversation and he joked quite a bit.
He got his catheter out and should begin rehab w/in the next few days according to the doctors. They still aren't letting him have anything to drink but water, but thats because the pneumonia makes him cough and they are afraid that he will choke on anything else right now. A few times though they have allowed him to have a little juice.
He has been watching TV alot and cutting up with the nurses. I told him that I was gonna take him to his favorite restaurant when he gets out and is able to go and he was like "For Real?" I said yep. He said "Coool."
Progress Progress Progress, all good news no bad. Justin is back and I love him with all my heart.
Ps. Jay Rocks :) Continue to pray for his complete recovery."
Thank you so much for your time, prayers, and messages of support. WC
