FNC: Secy. Rice is quoted as saying "We intend to treat Lebanon with the respect they deserve."

That could be taken a number of ways.

But if the humidity goes too high, the sweat does not evaporate, thus making the body hotter, which produces more sweat, which makes the body hotter, etc, etc, until cooling is somehow effected or heat stroke takes place.

Ugh... now I'm really missing Colorado. :)

Plus my hair always was nice and straight out there. Here it's always curly and frizzy in the summer. :)

Was stuck in Caribbean last week with CNN and O'Brian was the most insulting, confrontational, and far left slanted reporter I had ever seen.....he is repulsive.....

Thanks. Either way, it's hotter than I'd want to handle. Prayers and admiration for the troops and workers!

Do me a favor. A marine asked me for Splenda months ago... I sent it, it came back. If you know of anyone that can use it in the field over there... let me know. Freepmail me the address.

The officer said Israel was doing its utmost to avoid civilian casualties and to get in humanitarian aid.

After checking to ensure that the humanitarian aid is really humanitarian aid, I hope....

Dershowitz on with Bill Bennett right now. He's talking about how UNIFIL videotaped the prior kidnapping of Israeli soldiers. Says the UN is part of the problem, not the solution...like we didn't know that.

I can't stand him. This reminds me of the Katrina coverage.

He and Soledad make quite a pair.

Sowell and Barone were spot on, as always. I can't stand to read boring Kurtz or Dershowiyz, even when he stunbles onto the right side of an issue.

Thanks for the links.

I have not heard from my colleagues that live in Beirut. They may be dead but that is okay with a lot of our FR brethren. Collateral damage.

Look, Lebanon is the immediate source of all this killing. That country has been the host and haven of terrorists for years. Israel completely withdrew from Lebanon and still the Lebanese have practiced and facilitated terrorism. True, not all the Lebanese are complicit but the nation is at fault. Israel has warned the civilians to evacuate those cities from whence missiles are launched. Yes, there will be civilian casualties and collateral damage. It is the fault of the terrorists, just like in Iraq, just like in Afghanistan. I hope your colleagues are innocent and leave the war zone.

Yes....I'm not sure that was exactly what she intended to say. I'm sure she meant that Lebanon does deserve respect.

af is right about this. It is a tactic of the terrorists to get civilians killed. They hope to get people thinking from emotion. This is a situation in which there will be civilian casualties. It's not that people are callous to that, but that we can't let our abhorrence of such casualties prevent us and Israel and others that are going to have to fight these thugs from doing what is necessary.
