Looks like Iran is getting involved now. Iran is probably enjoying this. They've been itching for a fight, especially with Israel. They will be rather sorry if they start that fight. Whatever progress Iran has made towards nukes will be eliminated quickly.

Excuse me, but what if Mexico kidnapped three of our border guards....and then we find out that they are now in Cuba or Columbia etc. What would the USA do? I'd say consider it an act of war.
If Iran harbors those soldiers, they have in essence declared war on Israel.

I would agree and I don't think Secretary Rumsfeld's trip to Iraq was any surprise.
IMHO, Israel has had a plan, and rightfully so, since Arafat met his maker.

Israel needs to keep their eye on the ball, and not fall for the trap and be distracted to Iran.
HezBULL took the soldiers- THEY are responsible for returning them UNHARMED....
PERIOD!!!!
Isreal needs to keep all guns aimed at Lebanon...

This is too much. I haven't logged in in over a week. I've been here everyday but have been so blown over by all of this I just didn't want to Freep. I had to clear my head for a while.

I hope that Bush has everyone in our military at the highest level of readiness...and that he has an twitchy finger poised over "the button"...Tehran and Damascus need to be turned into piles of rubble.
Agreed. Bush should make it publicly clear that our policy is that any use of WMDs against Israel will be treated as a nuclear attack on the United States by Iran.

Isn't that exactly what the administration said yesterday?
They didn't warn Lebanon, but warned Iraq and Syria.

Dopey and the other dwarves were decapitated by Snow White who had been hiding a machete in her burqa.

hard to tell if this is what precipitated the airstrip bombings, or if this attempt to transfer the soldiers is in response.
At any rate, if these guys show up on CNN-Iran wearing blindfolds, all hell will break loose.
The inevitable is hurtling at us at lightspeed.

Does this mean that after Lebanon is a smoking crater, IDF goes after Iran?
Just how stupid are these people ?

Exactly. They should not have given back that land, imo.

The constant carping about releasing Palestinian prisoners--makes me wonder, is Israel holding someone with special terrorist talent?

When it started yesterday morning, I had a weird edgy feeling. So far, nothing has shaken that feeling. As a matter of fact, it's grown.
I'm right there with you. I feel like I'm in an episode of the Twilight Zone watching this all play out. It's surreal and very disturbing.

And then there's God. Perhaps He's arranging pieces on the board. In dealing with global events it is obvious that God is in control.
The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will. (Proverbs 21:1 KJV)
Is there anything that is beyond his control? Can we possibly think that God's purpose is not going to be served in all this?
