I'm thinking Ahminajawackjob is orchestrating this so he can speed up the war he wants with Israel.

24 - Middle East Edition.

I just started watching Season Three, but suddenly realpolitik is much more interesting. That's ok, that why I have my "War TV" located beneath my HD.

Someone hopes to draw Israel into a confrontation with Iran.

My first guess is Al Qaeda. Perhaps, they hope to cause an uprising of Shi'ites in Iraq against the US who is an ally of Israel.

My 2nd guess would be Iran. Perhaps they want to test a new weapons system against Israel. Perhaps they want a general Islamic uprising against Israel because they think they can destroy her this time. Perhaps they want to get over with Israel's threat to their nuclear program once and for all. Perhaps they want to subvert US policy in Iraq, especially regarding Iraqi Shi'ites.

My 3rd guess would be OPEC. They are getting huge returns on oil due to these Axix of Evil stunts.

And then there's God. Perhaps He's arranging pieces on the board.

They've been itching for a war for some time now

And I have a feeling the Bush Admin would not mind Israel solving the Iran nuke problem for them, like they did with Iraq.

They never should have left Lebanon in the first place.

Iran's president believes world chaos must prevail before the hidden imam reappears and has stated he will do what is necessary to make certain that happens.

Did Madelyn Albright threaten to come over there?

It will all be over before she gets her support stockings on.

Israel is masterful at quickly gathering intelligence, developing targets, and putting ordnance on them with incredible speed. The key difference between Israel's efficiency at doing this and ours is the political decisionmakers' willingness to take action while it can still be done effectively.

The Israeli leaders need to keep their cool and not to attack Iran at this time.

IMHO, Hizbullah is afraid of Israel, so it's trying to internationalize the conflict.

Atleast we now have complete public proof of whose behind the war. The idiots at the mainstream media can't even pull their usual, "these are just disenfranchised peaceful people being opressed by Israel" crap.

Now you know why Israel bombed the airport.

I have a feeling our troops in Iraq are on a rather high state of readiness right about now.

Islam wants this to be a war against all other religions. All I can say is to arm yourself...our gov't is not going to protect us against the millions of muslims who have infiltrated the US.

They're hoping the Arab street will force their neighbors come bail them out.

I hope they hold their breath while they wait.

Looks like President Loony Tunes is trying to bring back the 12th Imam before Ramadan.

Iran wants Israeli hostages as human shields to deter an Israeli attack upon them.

That's their most tone-deaf political calculus yet. Israel isn't deterred by such things....only provoked.

The whole situation is just breathtaking.

It would be stupid for Iran to do this. We have 100,000 troops there. All we need is an excuse.

Iran is a much tougher nut to crack than Iraq. It's bigger and with a lot of defensive terrain - we'd have to get through the Zagros Mountains to get to Teheran.

But Israel could attack by air and knock out a lot of key Iranian military facilities. I can only surmise that Iran's leadership is completely insane.

There have been times when I've wondered if this whole thing was orchestrated by Iran in the first place, right from the first Israeli kidnappings. Iran keeps saying they want to destroy Israel, and hinting that they might might. Could their nuke building be farther along than we think? Could Iran be just itching for an excuse to use nukes on Israel?
