Prayer ping, please, for FReeper family with imminent surgery (Good friend to all of us!!)

Here's the scoop:
The Dad starts a new job in So. Cal...family to follow.
On first day of job, father-in-law dies last Thursday.
Mom...having to cope with move, etc., all-of-a-sudden has to have surgery on her neck in the middle of all the chaos.
I asked the Dad (JRios1968) if I could offer a prayer ping...and he said, "Thanks for the prayer offer...your call. I certainly could use a chorus of people petitioning the Lord for help for my Mrs."
Can we give this chorus for the Mrs.?
I know that we will keep you updated.

I look forward to an update. I don't know where this man and his family are moving from, but I can say when I moved down here from the NW it was a major, major culture shock. Blessings to all of the family.

Prayers lifted for fellow Freeper JRios1968 & family, in this overwhelming challenge they are facing.
Paulat, can you tell us where they are moving from & to?
We may have fellow Freepers in the areas, that could put the word out & arrange for some help.

All, thanks so much for this. As a little background, my father in law passed last Thursday, on his 62nd birthday, after a long illness. Enphysema (sp?) had long ago left him with highly diminished lung capacity...just before Memorial Day it turned into full-blown pneumonia. About a week prior to his passing, doctors had informed the family that they had done all they could to save his lungs, and they expected a collapse at any moment. At that point the decision was made to transfer him to a nursing facility...due to space constraints at the facility chosen, he was sent home, to wait until a bed was made available.
On June 29th, his children (my Mrs, her sister, and 2 half-brothers,) congregated at the house to wish him a Happy Birthday. While they were doing so, he complained of being uncomfortable, then started to choke. My Mrs jumped into action to provide CPR...he passed while she was providing CPR, efforts by paramedics to revive him were fruitless. He leaves behind a lot of folks who love him.
Now for the "Movie of the Week" part...his widow (Mrs' stepmother) has very advanced MS and is left with two 6-year old children in the house. In the meantime, my Mrs had a biopsy of a small lump inside her neck, the results were inconclusive, but appear to be related to a very rare form of cancer. No word yet on whether or not it's malignant...we're trying to get her into surgery as early as next week. By the way, we're in the process of moving...all this precludes the Mrs from being able to attend her father's funeral, which will be this Saturday in Michigan.
Thanks for the concern, everyone (especially paulat.) As more develops, I will do my best to keep all in the loop.

Unto You, O Lord, we return with praise and thanksgiving, for You, alone, are Creator and Sustainer. We thank You that Your strength is imparted to this family through the Power of Your Word and the prayers of Your children. May each feel the Comfort of Your Presence as they go from one crisis to another. Order their steps in such a way, Merciful Father, that there is time to grieve the passing of a beloved father ... that his widow will be surrounded with those who will be of help and encouragement in her time of great need ... that the surgeon of Your choosing will be found for RJ's beloved wife ... that surgery would be scheduled when all is in readiness ... that the transition from one home to another would be orderly.
May your healing hand rest mightily upon Mrs. JR ... grace her medical team with all wisdom and skill, and may the word return that all is well. Thank You, O Lord, for the Presence of the Holy Spirit to guide and guard this family in their hour of trial. Thank You for Your Promise, that You are with them always, even unto the end of the age.
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we praise You, now and for evermore. Amen ...
