Excerpt -

GAZA, June 29 (Reuters) - A spokesman for gunmen in the Gaza Strip said they had fired a rocket tipped with a chemical warhead at Israel early on Thursday.

The Israeli army had no immediate comment on the claim by the spokesman from the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an armed wing of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah movement.

Wouldn't that be suicide for Iran, since they'd have to know if they nuked Israel that we'd nuke them?

All that glass and nothing left to park...tsk tsk.

"I still say that Iran has the bomb. They are and have been baiting Israel to attack. Iran will then nuke Israel. Iran doesn't care if Israel nukes it back. This is the whole idea."

God help the Israelis

I do seem to remember something about His promising to do so. In any event, it is said that God helps those who help themselves. The Israelis finally came to that conclusion after WW-II.

Or soap.

By all appearances the average Palestinian Arab is not familiar with the substance.

They are completely out of control.

How so? Elaborate.

Gaza is about 15 KM or so wide. Most nuke don't have a 7KM blast radius. The smaller ones definitely do not. Fallout is another issue however. Just checked the winds in Israel. Not much wind, but all with easterly component, either SE, SSE, or NE. Wrong way, so no nukes.

I just came across an interesting article. I thought it was from our own media, but then realized it's not quite that biased. It's from The Palestinian Chronicle. (I'm too lazy to use html right now.)

"Israel is continuing with its state terrorism against the Palestinian people," former minister and chief negotiator Saeb Erekat told Al-Jazeera news channel.

"We had an agreement, sponsored by the European Union, that energy and power stations should be left out of the conflict," he averred.

I hope Israel has one of these

C-130s they have. Flares, most likely. But what they seem to need are a few dozen daisy cutters, which can be dropped from C-130s.

The U.S. military is just too small, and there's no money to pay for it.

We spend our money on important things, like bridges to nowhere, free medical care for those unwilling to work, and illegal aliens, welfare queens, and so forth. Defending the country stopped being important about the time George H.W. Bush became President. Although the major momentum occurred during the Impeached One's time.

More bad news if this claim turns out to be genuine. Israel's policy of boots-on-the-necks-of-Palestine has been a failure for decades. Their solution is more of the same.

This one's not quite as objective as The Palestinian Chronicle. It's South Coast Today, in Massachusetts.

The officials said on condition of anonymity that Assad was targeted because of the "direct link" between Syria and Hamas, the Palestinian militant group holding Cpl. Gilad Shalit, 19, in the Gaza Strip. Syria hosts Khaled Meshaal, Hamas' exiled supreme leader.

I believe Tehran said something to the effect that the loss of life around Israel would be lives in sacrafice to Allah?

So, could the Palis' attempting the "Greatest Suicide Bomber Martyrs Operation" the world has ever witnessed? Coaxing Israel into full scale military operations which would then trigger Tehran or Syria to act?

I was listening to the news last night and thank goodness one of the pundits listed everything that Israel has been 'putting up with' since pulling out of Gaza. At least a hundred rockets launched at them DAILY, that would be an Act of War in every other nation on earth. But Irael has held restraint...the tunnel, the attack, and the abductions...the election of Hamas.

Palistinians aren't looking to make peace at all. Sure they are a thorn in the lions foot, but now that they've claimed to have an infection(WMD) the lions life is in danger.

This is all very, very bad. May God grant wisdom and vision to His world leaders at this trying time.

Palis brought this upon themselves! When will the world 'see' that all the efforts towards Peace have been thwarted by the Palis! I am so aggraveted by some of the stuff I've been reading about Big, Bad Israel!

Who are the ones that won't sit down to talk Peace! And if the won't negotiate Peace and move forward I guess that pretty much nullifies all the previous negotiations right Hamas? Since it is Hamas that won't honor the pacts!

The world may have played along with Arafat, but we're not playing along now. We've seen the lies, distortions, and willful attacks. The palistinian people freely elected this leadership remember that in the end.

"palis brought this upon themselves"

Recently, a poster wondered if this could be a "stupid" pali gene. One has to wonder. They were hoodwinked into leaving their homes by their arab "brothers" and told the zionist infidels would be slaughtered. When that didn't happen, they became refugees and good pawns by their arab "brothers". Now they are being made "sacrafices by their arab "brothers". Really, how stupid can one group be?

You may well be right. I have read what I believe are reliable reports the Iranians have 2-3 old Russian nukes, which may or may not be operational. It's quite possible they've had either official or clandestine Russian maintenance performed on them such that the Iranians are reasonably confident they'll work. I don't think they have their own nukes yet, but anything is possible.

Aside from the unfortunate effect on Israel - which I do not dismiss - it would result in solving the Iran problem once for all when whatever was left of the Israelis and the Americans anihilate Iran and impose the modern equivalent of a Carthegenian peace. It would also be a particularly trenchant reminder to the rest of the Islamics time was up - heck, I'd nuke Mecca and Medina for good measure if the Iranians lobbed a nuke at the Israelis.
